Apologies!

Corneliu 2
10-09-2007, 03:56
Recent events that have transpired was the most humbling events I have been through.

First off, I like to publicly apologize to Neo Art. I should not have said the things I have said. It was insulting and there was zero excuse for my behavor.

Second, I apologize to all posters who read those and had to put up with the antics I displayed.

My 1 week suspension was deserved and I am really surprised that I did not get a full ban.

I know that people will use the recent events to discredit me when it comes to religion. I know what I did was highly unchristianlike. I have made my peace with Him and this is the last step that needs to be taken.

It is my hope that you all accept this apology.

Sincerely,

Corneliu

I don't think you should worry so much about an internet forum.

I follow my conscience and keep promises I made to the Lord. Hence, this apology thread.

This basically sounds like a reaction out of fear again.
No one should be concerned about what you attribute conscience to, real or imaginary. YOU should be concerned about your WORKS, actions, and deeds.
Regardless of what "Him" thinks, it was something YOU did to Neo Art, so your concern should be Neo Art's concerns.

To which, good for you for apologizing. :)

You can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs. :)Yes you can. I remember this way of getting the egg white and egg yolk out of an eggshell so you could clean them and paint them for Easter. You could just do that if you really didn't want to break any eggs. :)

You did it by poking a hole in the bottom of the egg and a hole in the top and then blew the yolk and white out.

A better phrase would be 'You can't connect to the internet without breaking Windows'.

One question, Corneliu, what are you apologizing for? The profanity, the claims you made, or...? Because, while it breaks a discourse rule, profanity does little damage to the opponent. I've been called an "US-hater" for being against the war in Iraq in a MIRC chat room once, with no profanity. And none would be necessary to know this was an attempt to send torches and pitchforks after me - at a time in which most Americans were still deluded that the war was a good idea. Or that Bush was a good idea at all.

Making peace with God simply involves convincing oneself that one's actions were justified or excusable. Most people don't need to put all that much effort into accomplishing this.

Following in the footsteps of Yahweh and other such notable deities, I will heretofore remain silent and provide absolutely no hints as to my true wishes, nor will I offer any meaningful directions to my followers.

I will, however, enlist the aid of a barely-literate scribe, who will pen a massive treatise on the proper means of removing bottle caps. Down the line I will probably also inspire somebody to write a lengthy fiction novel describing the various eternal torments that await those who hold the top and twist the bottle (as opposed to those who hold the bottle and twist the top.)

Maybe Bottleanity is merely a metaphor for our existence - we are the soft drink, trapped in the capped existence of ignorance within which bubbles of fear, hatred and greed disrupt our harmony. The bottle-opener is knowledge which will free us of our ignorance and, in time, remove the carbonated devils *nod*

Unless, of course, we're trapped in this bottle, in which case the whole theological argument takes a turn for the strange...
