What if we are never saved and humanity continues living with our fatal flaws forever? What necesitates that our condition will ever improve? Crazy Nazarenes who return from the dead (again)? Rhetorical arguments in favor of a meaning to the ultimate nature of reality?
Then, I suppose we'll all die out when the universe reaches thermostatic equilibrium, meaning that eveything will be same temperature (like -270 degrees Celcius, or -440 something Farenheit for us Americans) and there will be no free energy to do anything. THAT will be boring. Talk about nihilsm. Talk about being frozen near absolute zero.
I wonder if we'll have evolved into different species by that time.
Oh, wait no, we'd all kill or genetically re-engineer back to normalcy any mutants because we humans are @$$holes like that. But of course, Posthumanists say that humanity's salvation is in genetic engineering and transcending humanity. Who knows?

I like the Spanish term: estadounidense.
I think it literally means "United States-ian" but it is not pejorative, and is more specific than "American".
