So, today I get a call from my mom, wanting me to come down to her house to help my father work on some stuff in the yard. By the time I got there at around 12:40pm, I found out that my sister went into labor and gave birth to my newest niece. After doing the work my mom called me down there for, and after giving my sister some time to relax after her delivery, my mom, my sister's other children (2 nieces, and 1 nephew) and I went to visit.

/me is very happy for his sister and brother in law right now. :D

So, anyone else recently have a special delivery, or expecting one (or have close relatives that are)? Are you as excited as I was to meet a new family member?

Be the crazy uncle! The world needs more crazy uncles. Don't be the always drunk out of work uncle that sleeps on the couch for ten months. Too many of those.

Hmmm, I guess I should get a jump on gathering some sort of offspring, whether it be mine or a relatives.

I mean, organs don't harvest themselves. :D

I already am the crazy uncle. My sister sometimes has to tell me to calm down, as I'm stirring up the kids. :D

No. Before today, I had 2 nieces (ages 9 and 6) and one nephew (age 7). After today, I have a third niece (age < 12 hours).

Congratulations!!! Now, it's time to expose them to the wackiness that you are required to exhibit as an uncle. Unless you're a Wicked Uncle. I think my brother will end up as one of those. Get a decent handle bar on your upper lip, and start plotting. :)

I might have insinuated to my cousin that my brother's fiancée is pregnant.

.. she isn't. http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/oops.gif

You can't be an uncle 'again', you have always been an uncle since the first nephew/niece :p .

I can see your point. But I feel that makes for a better thread title than, "My sister just had another baby" (at least partially since my sister doesn't post here, so ya'll probably wouldn't care as much).

How about 'I added another notch to my belt of unclehood'?

It's an interesting suggestion, but (at least to me) it sounds like I had something to do with the process, other than visiting my sister, brother in law, and new niece.
