Id'say Scandinavia, particular Sweden or Denmark. OK it gets a bit cold at winter but it is a damn good place to live in, or so my many friends there tell me.

Swaziland. It is one of the wealthies nations in Africa, which means that only about 7 in 10 citizens are dirt farmers living in grinding poverty.
Think about it, you could be one of the lucky 30%!

Bermuda- Great weather, friendly people and well off. But here is the down side way over populated and if you want affordable housing forget it.
Canada- Nice place, friendly people, nice summers. Now the bad points high taxes, race relation problems, and cold winters.

And if you move to Vancouver the winters are supposed to be pretty mild. Of course it's fucking expensive to live there.

Moral of the story: Wherever you go, there you are. You're going to find the same stories repeated in every country you live in. Population density and government control of media sources will determine how much you actually see it on the news, but it's still there.
People are people, no matter where they are. You're going to find corruption, greed, anger, hate, and every single one of the seven deadly sins in every country you go to.
The real answer isn't trying to find the "perfect" place to live, but to do everything you can to make where you do live a good place.

Portadown or NI in general because in my opinion people from NI have this strange obsession with painting the place in the worst light possible when they're talking to people from other countries. It's like the Patrick Kielty joke about Northern Ireland being known in the past for "fucking and fighting" and people missing that image. Some areas are as bad as always i'll agree but Northern Ireland as a whole has made some big steps.

Government officials tend to steal less in "lesser" countries. Take Bertie Ahern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertie_Ahern#Controversy) for example... plenty of corruption there, but comparatively small-scale.
