What musical instruments can you play?

Well? Which ones? Singing counts too -- the voice is an instrument.
I play tuba and piano, and I sing second alto. I used to play the flute and the viola. I used to play more competitively, but now I play mostly at church and in university band.

I can play the alto sax ("I like it because you don't inhale"). I also dabble in the piano.
Oh! I used to play that, but I haven't gotten it out in a few years. I really need to, it's fun...

I'm a professional-level vocalist, amateur-level pianist, and "look! I successfully played a scale!"-level flautist. :)
I can pretend to play piano.
I've played drum kit for about six years now, although I am currently horribly rusty due to lack of adequate time to play.
...and, with no false modesty, I'm a pretty damn good singer.

Alto Saxaphone. Just got a Fibracell (new kind of synthetic) reed and it's amazing. Much easier to play than wood and great sound, too.

I play Guitar, Bass (both stand-up and electric), Flute, Tenor Sax, and Cello with a fair degree of skill.
Everything else I play at, rather than play.

If you add "for people" then just saxophone.
I have an alto sax (Yanagasawa, soooo butter.) I don't like the alto, though. It's a pre-madonna's instrument. Played tenor in big bands, bari in orchestras and combos because the bari is badass.
It goes like this for me-
The alto is like masturbating, but in front of people.
The tenor is like foreplay.
The Bari is straight up fuckin'.
But ultimately a sax is a sax. Except the soprano. That's useless. (unless you're Sidney Bechett...)
You stand before a bonafide triangle master. Bow, weaklings, for I am your god.

If it has strings I very likely either play it, or have at least dabbled in it at some point. I'm attempting to make a career out of the bass (of all shapes and sizes), majored in cello for three years, have sung and gotten paid for it, and played quite a lot of percussion (although not well), in front of people.
Okay, so music, of all sorts is what I do...

Now it's pretty much just singing (if you can call it that :p) and the harmonica.

We could form the NSG Saxophone Quintet. Though some of you prissies will have to dump the alto...they're all the same anyway, so it won't be that hard.

I'm afraid to admit the important part of that sentence was "used to"; I was OK, but I could probably barely play "Take Five" now.

Take Five is hard, man. 5/4 is a funky meter.

I play acoustic guitar (an electro-acoustic roundback it is) & neither good nor bad, but as long as my cats don't file a protest to Greenpeace I think it's ok :D ... Aside of that, I play the bodhran now and then and recently started to learn how to use the bluesharp... Now I'm waiting to see how long it takes for my neighbours to go on the warpath :P

I play piano, oboe and voice (bass). I suppose piano would be my best instrument, based on enjoying playing and the money I've made from playing it (competitions, accompanying, jazz band gigs). Voice is something I've become much more interested in recently, but am no soloist, just a good choral singer. I'm going to organise some lessons once term starts. Perhaps we could form a barbershop group as well as a sax ensemble?

Not particularly good at any; but can play, in descending order of tunefulness, guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, violin, keyboards and tin whistle. Oh and banjo though none of my cousins are married to each other.
I a a proud product of the Sistema Nacional de Orquestas Infantiles and Juveniles of Venezuela, (Venezuelan system of infantile and juvenile orchestras), and as such I dedicated my childhood to learn how to play several instruments as a part of an effective musical education system. I started learning how to play violin, but in the end I fell in love with the cello, the instrument I dedicated the rest of my rather short but succesful career.
As a side effect of that, I am proficient with the violin and the clarinet, and use the piano to compose and to entertain myself, to a certain degree of quality. My singing skills aren't the top, but are there, at least I manage to remain in tune thanks to my choral classes. The Cello remains as my main lover to this day, although.

I can play the bass guitar, but have long retired from performing
My parents had an idea to make me into a piano prodigy when I was a kid, so I started lessons before I was even in kindergarten. Turns out I have a great ear but I'm shitty at reading music. Also I have problems with authority which lead to me going through four piano teachers in the space of a year.
I played drums for a number of years in junior high and high school. I'm extremely fond of the tympani.
Most recently, I took up bass guitar. So far the only song I can play is the Speed Racer theme.

I'm pretty snazzy when it comes to the piano (at least I used to be until I came to university and became piano-less) and i've tried my hand at the flute, guitar and violin. I find the guitar damn near impossible to play though no matter how hard I practice.

Flute, bass guitar and tenor sax are my main instruments. I can also play piano, guitar, clarinet and I can sort-of sing (karaoke level :P but good karaoke, not the tone deaf variety)
I'm trying to learn the didgeridoo, but failing miserably.

I can play the acoustic guitar, the electric guitar, the bass guitar, the banjo, the piano, the viola, the violin, the cello, and I sing.
I am not great at any of them, nor do I play any of them often because my perfectionism beats what little talent I might have had right out of me. I do sing often.
I can play piano, but not particularly well. I never got good at reading music, I always had to think about where on the scale a particular note was. It was easier just to memorize them.
Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Trumpet, Electric bass, and guitar.
Guitar..thats it...although I can bang around some on drums and carry a very simple beat...does that count?

I've played piano for years, taught myself bass guitar and drums (I'm pretty good on the bass, rusty on the drums), I played trombone all four years of high school, decent on the tin whistle, and a legend on the kazoo. I don't know chords on a guitar, but I can do a most of the riffs I hear in songs. I play by ear.
As for a singing voice, I used to sing barry in an a cappella chorus; gradually I increased my range by trying to sustain the highest note I could for as long as I could until I lost my voice (not the best method, I know), but apparently it worked - I can now sing ANY U2 song and hit all the notes without my voice crapping out.
Oh, and I can hit all the falsetto notes from Boston's "More Than A Feeling" - quite proud of that one.
Just for the heck of it...why does a V7 chord resolve to a I ?

I've met a few people who learned to play the piano without being able to read music. They can listen or watch you play, and then repeat it without any problem.
I have to read the music. I can't play by ear. To me, it seems much harder to play by ear, but I suppose different people have different talents.

In my life, I have tried piano, violin, and guitar. I ended up with voice and that's good enough for me.

ditto.... i can't play shit. i tried to learn the guitar for about 4 years, and "learned" it in music class all through primary school... and basically sucked a lot.
now i got myself a drum kit and kinda suck at that, too. i just don't think i'm musical. i can't remember all the bits to a song, and can't remember where the notes are on a fretboard, nor can i remember scales or anything like that. its like some impenetrable foreign language to me:(
i was always the kid who got stuck playing the triangle... can't sing either.
but i'd love to play the double bass

Just for the heck of it...why does a V7 chord resolve to a I ?
It's because the rules of music theory say the seventh has to resolve down while scale degree 7 resolves up. When that happens, you get the scale degrees 1 and 3, which are in a I chord.
I think that's the gist of it.
My theory is rustier than it should be, especially if I want to major in it in a year or two.

They’ve got a lovely tone to them; really rich and warm.
I’m currently looking at prices for a set of smallpipes, probably the Northumberland or Scottish smallpipes, but the Lincolnshire or English double pipes look and sound gorgeous as well.
