I've found my experience so far is that Asian guys tend to be really passive, almost lacking in any self confidence.

For example, I'm at university, we have a tonne of Asian students (Chinese, Japanese and Korean (mainly)) - the Asian girls really get out there, go to parties, learn English, become part of the 'local scene', basically, when in Rome doing as the Romans do.

The Asian guys, they tend to be rather divorced from what goes on around the rest of the university. I mean, I'm sorry but when you only mingle with other Asian students and don't get out there - things are kind of misserable.

Girls seem to be more willing to be social where as the guys I find would rather be emo and sit in the corner.

from what I've seen I'd argue it's more the case of white guys fancying asian girls than vice versa. At least in the West.

It's more a case of asian girls (especially Indo, Fillipino, Mainlanders, Thai and assorted other poor countries) fancying white guys wallets due to the fact that we, if taken as a homogeneous group, earn significantly more than the locals here and astronomically more than what they would earn back home.

Well, I'm Italian Australian ,and I have a Chinese wife. For me, it is mostly her social values that I like. I'm not sure if it is a universal asian thing, but my wife doesn't tolerate/produce the kind of mindless shit most white girls do. All this shit about feelings and their BS double standards, she doesn't do it. In many ways you could say she has the mind of a man; logical and rational.

Actually, it seems I have accidentally deviated as to why I prefer tomboys, something my wife also is. Something asian about her which is formative in why I am attracted to her? Uhhm, truth be told she isn't that chinky. Not in personality. Sure she is sexy, and I suppose I do have a mild asian preference, but who doesn't? A lot of foreign women grew up in conservative nations compared to the western counterparts. That gives them a different value system vs the western value system. This is why I ended up marrying a foreign women. Just made sense to me and our marriage is not marred with what you describe above.

I'd have to say that is quite common. My uncle's sister-in-law is (or was?) in a relationship with an divorced American more than twice her age. The foreigner even had a daughter who was as old as her. So, naturally, I'd ask why... and I got the answer that, "if you are very poor, of course you would do anything..."
