Please check your sources

I love to debate, I really do, and I'll debate about anything as long as it's civil and people actually put some effort into the debates and proving their side of it. However, I am close to giving up debating with 9/11 conspiracy nuts. Mainly because they use sources that would know NOTHING about demolition, Engineering, Structural engineering, architects, or anything that has to do with aircrafts. Their sources are people who back them up, regardless of their background, their field of knowledge and their education is. They also use quotes that were either misinterpreted, or taken out of context to fit their little conspiracy viewpoint. All I'm asking when I debate with people is to please check their sources and make sure that it's someone who is reputable and actually knows about the subject.

Eskimos did it
You just earned yourself an afternoon in the Happy Chamber! It's a chamber where I tie you to a chair glue earphones onto you and make you listen to "Don't worry, be Happy" over and over again until you go mad. There's no window and the only door out is locked from the outside with a deadbolt.

I'll check whatever the hell I damn well please! *Downs beer*
Now all I'm saying is that when we die, there should be a planet for the French, and a planet for the Chinese, and we'll all be a lot happier!

I suppose you want all of the sources to be unbiased and peer reviewed as well.

That would be nice, but really, just use sources that actually know what they're talking about. A janitor of the WTC isn't going to know what a demolition sounds like, a millionaire who has an axe to grind with the Bush Administration isn't going to know how buildings are supposed to collapse and just because you played Flight Simulator X that one time at your cousin house doesn't make you an expert on aircrafts and how they're supposed to fly.

Dude, they're conspiracy nuts. It took you this long to even consider not debating with them?

Haha.
My favorite is the person who made a mockup concrete and steel structure, lit it on fire and said there was no way the towers could have fallen this way. Completely ignored the plane taking out girders and pancaking.

Dude, you sit the standard too high!
Where are the sources that can confirm that sources from the conspiracy theorists are wrong, and the sources which can refute those sources?
9-11 conspiracy talk will go around in circles for EVER!
" was the US reaction justified by the 9-11 events, regardless of the cause?"
no!

Indeed, how else do we get our pilots and aerospace engineers?
*someone comes up and whispers*
WHAT? We have training and colleges? WTF?

Sometimes facts get in the way of the "flow" of a conversation. I think i've implored mods about that very thing a few times.

No man. It was Maytag. They were just setting the Eskimos up for a fall because they wouldn't buy the Man's refrigerators.
