Cereal- The Great Debate
What is the alltime greatest cold cereal? My wife has been on this Captain Crunch with crunchberries kick, but I am definitely leaning towards Corn Pops..
Your thoughts??
To quote the great Will Ferrell "Maybe something cool that I don't even know about"
Most definatly raisin bran... or maybe granola cereal with nuts and banana chips.... or honey nut cheerios... I DON'T KNOW!
*runs from thread completly indecisive*
Don't let the shiny toys/trinkets in the box persuade you......We are talking taste, not decoder rings... THis is possibly the most important decision you will make your whole life...... (or least, who's keeping track)

Lucky charms. Of course. They are the quintessential cereal for flavor- an excellent combo of marshmallowy goodness and chewy oats. Still, if you're some sort of health nut, honey bunches of oats is for you.

Luckily a grocery store in my little town actually stocks it. I ate it quite a bit while I lived in France and was sad I wouldn't see it again for a while (until I move back to France). Imagine my surprise when I find it in a small college town in rural Michigan.

Anything cheap, so long as it's not a supermarket own-brand.
Muesli's always good.

Muesli is good if the harling on your wall is coming off, you can get a mouthful of that then read the News of the World, and if you are facing the right direction, your wall is re-harled in seconds!

All cold cereal is bad. A lot of it is nothing more than sugar. Even the cereal without tons of sugar are bad. You should eat a real breakfast of eggs, meat, fruit, and bread.

Although this presumes I read the NotW. Which I don't. Far too high-brow for me.

Captain Crunch is bland, so are Rice Crispies, Cheerios, Frosted Flakes.
Those "healthy" cereals are good; they come with chewy fruits.

Heh, the only two papers that make the NotW seem high-brow. I'd read the Observer, actually, if I did get a Sunday paper. Which I don't, because of the price.

xxxOh, come on. That's easy. Try the Daily Star or the Daily Sport.
One is currently owned by a Welsh pornographer, the other was once owned by the same man. I think that says it all really.

The pornographer who owns the Star owns the Express. His name is Paul Raymond and at least the Sport is not tory to the point of actually being new labour.
All in all they would provide usful muesli harling assistance, each and every one.

Apple Jacks, straight Cap'n Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios.
I'm also a big fan of these dry, without milk. Fun as a snack.

I usually eat Oatmeal for breakfast, but if I had to choose a cold cereal, I would eat Frosted Flakes.
Raisin Bran...definitely Raisin Bran. That shit is just delicious. Berry Krispies are also flipping amazing; I can probably finish off a box of Berry Krispies in under twenty minutes and, with my utter lack of will power, it isn't too unlikely.

It really depends.
When I have the time and the good import supermarket works well in my schedule, I like my own dry Muesli mix with yogurt.
Back home in the states, it's Cheereos and Rice Chex.
Cheesecake for breakfast is MUCH better. Just think YumYum Cheesecake!
Reminds me of a Spring vacation many years ago at my Nana's, where I ate a big bowl of Baskin-Robbins licoice ice cream for breakfast everyday for a week. :D

Pirates of the Caribbean cereal!!! (basically the same thing as Count Chocula, but who cares :P) Oh, and Wheat Chex and Cheerios are good too.
Cinnamon Life and Golden Grahams. But personally I enjoy having clam chowder for breakfast.

back when I could have cereal, I loved Cap'n Crunch with Crunch berries even though it tore up my mouth.......I also loved Berry Berry Kix and Count Chocula.
My choices are somewhat more narrow now, and most of the cereal available to me is "healthy" meaning they are free of a lot of stuff.
Until about 2 months ago, I ate wheat, rye, barley, oats, sugar, eggs, dairy, peanut, tree nut, rice, free cereal. It was disgusting.
General Mills came out recently with 3 new kids cereals and they are all gluten free, I eat the Little Einsteins which btw taste exactly like Fruit Loops!!!!!!!

Cap'n Crunch. When I was a freshman in college, my dorm cafeteria had cereal out all the time. I ate Cap'n Crunch for any meal whenever the other choices (like salisbury steak and 'well, that is a vegetable medley, I think') were awful, which happened quite a lot.

Speaking of Americian cereal, isn't it time Cap'n Crunch got a promotion?
From here: http://www.lavasurfer.com/cereal-quakeroats.html
According to Quaker Oats, the Cap'n was once promoted to Admiral! "After a tremendous outpouring from his fans, the Quaker Oats Company decided to promote the Cap'n. But Admiral Crunch quickly became bored with his desk job at Crunch Headquarters. And after a small mishap with the Crunch Berrie and Crunch Biscuit machine (at the hands of two recently promoted new co-Cap'ns) he decided that he was truly the best one suited for the role as the Cap'n. He soon requested his old position again, and he went back to being the best Cap'n that Crunch Headquarters has ever had. He is much happier now!"
