Verizon Wireless has said it plans to buy Unicel a division of Rural Cellular.

This really only affects people in New England and some other areas.
For people that this affects what are your thoughts on this, I for one am excited as it will open me up to a range of new plans, however I do not want to have to go back to using CDMA, (Unicel switched from CDMA to GSM years ago.) And with Verizon you dont use SIM cards which I am pissed about, plus most International carriers use GSM, so if you are overseas you wont be able to roam easily.
What are you thoughts?
