If you are from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the Heartland flyer is offering buy one/get one fares for the rest of 2007, that means if two of you ride the train together you can come for about $25 each, which is pretty darn cheap.

probably in Oklahoma City, because that's where I am and since I am hosting it's easier to control if it's where I am. I know where the fun stuff is here and such.

Depending on the date I will have a new job by then and quite a bit more money and PTO it may be an option

I will admit to anyone who guesses (though probably through TG... Or during a slow day). And in person I'd fess up. There are two or three people who know. But I haven't seen them around.

OKC is fairly close. Though I was under the impression Smunkee was closer to the Tulsa area. Must be cuz while Tulsa is a bit conservative, which I know Smunkee to be, OKC is full of scary nut cases, which I don't believe Smunkee to be. Or perhaps she's just polite and friendly for a nut-case.;)

It is not looking rosy for my new job ... I do not think I will be able to take off till after december sorry to get your hopes up maybe the next one!

If it is the weekend of the 27th, there is a very real possibility I might be able to make it. :) The only real obstacle that I know of would be the cost - I'm entirely broke right now, so hotels and 700 miles' (round trip) worth of gas might not exactly fit in my budget. I'll try, though!

Possibly! I probably won't know for sure whether or not I can make it until mid-October at the earliest, though. (Basically, if I get any nice new clients before then, I can probably come, if my current clients actually pay my boss on time, I might make it, and if they follow their frequent pattern of "forgetting" to pay my boss, then I probably can't come.)
