What do you guys make of these possible ruins off Japan? Some claim they are not ruins and are natural. Some claim they are ruins of some unknown civ and some go even further and say they are the lost world of Mu.

If they are the ruins that I seen a documentary on and it appears so they are in water deep enough to be last uncovered about 12k years ago. So it would be ruins of a Ice Age civilization. That would be an interesting find to say the least. From the video they appear not to be natural.

It could possibly be man-made if the area these ruins are in were dry suring the last Ice Age. But, beyond a few shots in that video, most of that rock formation could have been natural. That's the difficulty with archaeological lithic studies, some types of rock do break naturally in patterns that resemble the kind of breaks people would make. After a few thousand years underwater, tool marks or inscriptions that could clearly mark that formation as man-made may have been worn away, so it will probably take quite a bit of study to determine what it is and how it was formed.
I HOPE he means Atlantis.

Someday, some Japanese teenager will accidentally stumble upon the on switch that reveals that the ruins hides a giant robot that has protected the planet against a giant squid faced god that now dreams in the Pacific.
... or if the world is still as mundane as it is,... scientist will prove that this is all just another geological formation.

That looks like a dive to the so-called "Yonaguni Monmument (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonaguni#Seabed_structures)" off the West of Japan. If so, they've been under investigation (and prompting all sorts of wild hypotheses) for about 20 years.
It'll be interesting if this turns out to be a full-on archaeological/geological survey... maybe we'll finally be able to get an informed theory about what they are. :)

On another note:
Quite an interesting find.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who got it. :D
And, for a thread hijack, because I just saw the episode... the one with the dog is the saddest thing I have ever seen.
