There's a video there as well for those who want to watch it. I found it very entertaining.
So, I see this guy. He's largely responsible for the great economic position Australia is in today (albeit in part due to a misunderstanding of his), and he clearly knows a lot. This guy talks global strategic matters that affect us all.
John Howard is about taking away states' rights as an election strategy. His foreign ministry exists solely to give someone useless in stockings a job and get his responses at the next press meeting emailed in from the White House.
I really, really want Keating to run for PM again, dammit.
Anyways, were leaders better in the good old days? Did they talk about geopolitics on a level like this? Or is this just the unfortunate case of a brilliant guy being followed by a tosser?
