The question is not, "Was Jesus Black?", the question is, "Is America ready for a Black Jesus?" and "Was Jesus Black enough?".

Jesus wasn't. That is all.
He was most likely brown. There were white people there because, you know, Romans were there and they were white, but Jesus was probably a brown dude. Not black. Not close enough to the equator.

I don't think Jesus was white, if that's what you're asking.
Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think it matters. To paraphrase Douglas Adams, He got nailed to a tree for saying how great it would be to be nice to people for a change. I don't see how His "race" would come into play.
