Okay, I've recently ran into several scenarios where people have judged if other people are gay or straight just on how they look. It actually just happened to me recently, which made me want to investigate this further.

So I thought it would be fun if we did the same thing.

In fact, my town wasn't even established until the early 1900's

The town may not have been incorporated but it appears it was somewhat established according to the town's web site and the Mansfield Historical Society. So, it appears that people from that town did fight on the side of the CSA during the war, and that marker comates their sacrifice. Here is an excerpt from the Historical Society.

By the way, when was the marker put up?

"Feild opened a general merchandise store at the same time as the mill, located across Broad Street. He built a log house for his family, which also served as an inn for travelers and customers. By 1860, the nucleus of the future city existed. The first post office was established that year, with Julian Feild as postmaster.

During the Civil War, the Man and Feild mill supplied meal and flour to the Confederate Soldiers Army, hauling it to Shreveport, Louisiana, and Jefferson, Missouri. As was common practice, they tithed ten percent of the mill's production to the Confederacy. The small community around the mill was unique in Tarrant County in that it prospered throughout the Civil War. "Feild's Freighters", assembled in ox-drawn wagon trains which went as far as Fort Sill, Oklahoma, were a past of the Indian Wars which raged in the southern plains in the late 1860s and 1870s.

The prospering community which had grown up around the Man and Feild mill took on the name of "Mansfeild", a combination of the names of the founders. Repeated misspellings over the years resulted in the acceptance of the conventional spelling of "Mansfield"."

Not always. If you continually have bad hair days, people will think that its your regular look, which is good, because then you don't have to use product in it ever! Also gives you an excuse to sleep in the clothes you're going to wear the next day.

Texas is a "Right to Work" state, but what that means is that the employers have a RIGHT to fire you for whatever reason they deem fit, but on the flip side, supposedly, you have the RIGHT to pursue whatever job you want
