1990 British music video help

Okay, this has been driving me crazy forever. When we were living in England, I believe the year was 1990 or 91, a music video came out that I loved. It featured some couple going to the movies, and on the screen is a very handsome guy (I assume the singer) and he pulls the girlfriend into the screen (magic!). And she is going around with him in some kind of action movie, and maybe there was kissing involved, I don't know, then she gets returned to the movie theater. I don't remember anything about the song except that I liked it.

Does anybody at all know what song/artist that was?

That sounds so familiar... you don't remember even something about the lyrics?

No, I guess I was a really visual kid. I was 8 or 9 when I saw it. Can I assume it was some sort of love song? Hell, I don't know.

Oh, the guy had a mole on his face I think.

I keep thinking of A-ha's "Take on me", but that was a comic book he pulled her into.

Yeah, I know, but I figured it was worth a shot.

Even though this song is from the eighties I am betting this is what she was thinking of. I cannot think of any other video that has that type of plot to it.

LOL

If there was ever a reason for me to create a puppet nation, this would be it - to provide information for something that, in knowing the answer, raises serious questions about my character.

This is a prime example, I didn't know the answer but if I had, I don't think I could bring myself to admit it.

Good work :)

OMGZ, nostalgia flashback! I knew the description sounded so familiar. I even remember that film... "Buddy's Song" or something like that. *misses the early 90s cheese*

..with Roger Daltrey. Man, Chesney was such fail. He broke records for failness.

I mean really - Chesney

It was never going to happen :)

Ha ha :D

Creating a puppet nation might be warranted if that was the worst of my Chesney related sins.

I feel I should also confess that I have seen him live :(

I'm sorry, that's A-Ha's "Take On Me" and I'm very familiar with it. No, this was definitely taking place IN a movie theater, and the girl was pulled into a movie.

Well, thank you everybody who tried to help me, and thank you especially to Levee for having a shameful piece of knowledge that was ultimately useful. Granted, it's not the best song, and the video is cheesy, and the singer kind of has a weak chin, but I loved it when I was 9 years old and I'll do a lot to reclaim any parts of my childhood in England. I miss it terribly.

So, a big <3 to all participants! Thank you!

Heehee! And he has no chin, and that terrible flop haircut. And what's with the pants being pulled up to his ribcage, with the plaid shirt tucked in? Oy vey.

Don't get me wrong, I've been rocking to this music video hardcore since you guys found it for me. :p
