Gotcha beat: I wear my glasses a lot more often now, out of convienence mostly (get up in the morning and just slip glasses on or get up and put contacts in...hmm, hard choice). It's not visible in that picture, but there's a small scar right above my left eye. Perhaps you can see where I'm going with this...

Exactly how I was mistaken for him I'll never know, there's only a passing resemblance at best. But my wife is a huge Harry Potter fan, so I get to go to all the movies. There was a group of kids that just wouldn't stop staring at me when we left the Order of the Phoenix movie. As if the fact that I very clearly am not British wasn't a big enough clue. I almost ended up having to sign books until they finally heard me actually speak.

Yours truly in Honduras-land. My father is an eye surgeon, and we go there about every year when my dad does charity surgery. We get to dress up in scrubs and watch my dad perform surgery. This was taken by my brother.

The big surgery I got to see was that of a two year old who was hit in the head by a soccer ball, which caused his eye to pop out. The eye was infected, and he had to remove it and clean out the eye socket. After seeing that, I'm never playing soccer. Ever. I value my eyeballs.

probably within the next 3 months or so, I can't do it while I am sick and I have been sick off and on for about 3 months already. If I can get over this latest thing and be free of infection for 3 weeks then I am go for a tatt. I am getting it on my hip so that I won't have any trouble covering it up when I need to.

As for vanity and how I feel about my appearance...

- I am glad to be decent-looking, and I am doubly so because I was considered an ugly kid.

- I am not one of those girls who spends hours in the bathroom doing hair and makeup. My sister is one of those, and the amount of time and energy she puts into her looks really astounds me. I put on a tiny necessary bit of makeup and do my best to make sure my hair looks alright (my hair and I, we've got a love-hate thing going).

- Does this make me vain? "Excessively proud of or concerned about one's own appearance, qualities, achievements, etc.; conceited." No, there is no way I'm excessively proud of my appearance.
