I want to make a browser game somewhat like Nexus War and Urban Dead in game play, but customized to expand the options a bit. Can anybody help? If I ever do get this game up and running, I will likely max-out the level of the biggest contributor.

I am a lead developer for an online game already (we have 65 thousand users about 2000 active)

Now I do not think you realize how much work these games can be and how much you have to do to get them to any sort of releasable scale

Do you have any programming experience? if so what languages?

Zip. I could use some help, >_>. I have done Micromedia Fusion 2 but that is more of a tutorial than a real thing. I was hoping that I could get some of the information already built for the games and mod it a bit.

Antrophia ... I took some time off the last year just came back to it ... kind of depressed the size dropped massively from what it used to be. I am hoping on some massive game and code changes to boost user satisfaction

I could give you some code from the game I am on but it is big it would be hard to start from scratch and learn it from that specially cause I can not give you a full copy

Doubt they will give it to you ... a lot of that is guarded so that cheaters can not find something to take advantage of.

First decide language ... from the outside look Nexus War is doing ajax they use a java servlet for sure

Not sure about your other one ... languages you might want to learn that would be good for this are
PHP (my choice)
Java

You will need to know SQL (probably MYSQL variant) and have a place to start. There is probably years worth of learning to do to get a game done starting from scratch.

Sounds good :) I just got back on board with the group they had sold out to a new administrator ... my forums username is SlackerHobo I am now a community code developer (some of it you wont be able to see but some you will)

I am going to see if they give me the script in the first place and then I will decide the language. Even if I don't finish it it will be a good start for my planned career when I get into college.

If you have got some money, hire a scripter or even better get a friend that can script (if you have any) to do it for a reduced price.
