Not to say people cannot be proud. But there's genuine pride, say of one's hard fought accomplishments or of one's child, and then there's arrogance and hubris (which I think represents the deadly sin).

How about instead of trying to get rid of these deadly "sins" we recognize they are merely expressions of instincts in each person and not the result of "evil" or what have you?

And we can't get rid of them either without changing fundamental parts of who and what we are.

Just make a real option into a joke option. I'm going with greed.

I'll vote for "wraith" then, since it's not one of them.

Pride. It's what causes people to judge one another and focus on others' perceived sins. It's the most ironic sin, because it happens whenever someone points out "hey, that thing you're doing is a sin."

I agree but for different reasons. Gluttony seems like more of a bad habit unlike the other ones and should not be on the list. So removing gluttony would fix an otherwise spot on list of fun.

hmm....no. Pride is an attitude that "it's all about me", and God says that's bad. You are to put God first, and then think about others and then yourself. Even self loathing is a sin of pride because you are thinking of yourself above all others.

Getting rid of any would badly screw up the way the world works today, and besides, most are fun. I wouldn't mind adding a few, though.
