Lord Lucan in New Zealand?

He spends most of his day living in the back of a Land Rover.

He regularly writes to his local community paper, complaining about storm water issues on his run-down rural property.

He speaks with an upper-crust English accent. And he knows the media is after him.

But is he Lord Lucan? "Frankly, it's a long shot," said Rangitikei Mayor Bob Buchanan, a figure in a fresh attempt to find the disgraced English peer, which now centres on the small Rangitikei town of Marton.

For those of you who don't know who Lord Lucan is, here is the Wikipedia link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Bingham%2C_7th_Earl_of_Lucan

Essentially he was accused of murdering his children's nanny back in 1974; since the murder of the nanny, he has not been seen - his body has not been found, and there have been suggestions that he has been in many countries, from South Africa to India to Australia.

Personally, I don't think he is in Marton, but what do you think?

Hearing that name always makes me think of Underworld (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underworld_%282003_film%29).
