What song is currently your favourite? Is there one song you want to hear over and over? Mine currently is Silversun Pickups' 'Lazy Eye', which yes, is playing in the background as I type this.
I'm liking these two a lot lately:

John Lennon's Imagine is pretty much always my favorite song.
However, there's usually some other songs at one time that I if asked would say are my "favorites."

The Fields' 'You Don't Need This Song' is fairly fantastic.
As is Blood Sugar by Pendulum, and All Rights Reversed from the new Chemical Brothers album.

The best song ever written is There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, by The Smiths. Coincidentally, it was on the best album ever made, by the best band to have ever walked the earth.

She was morning and I was night time.
I one day woke up to find her lyin' beside my bed.
I softly said, "Come take me."
For I've been lonely, in need of someone
As though I'd done someone wrong somewhere, but I don't know where.
I don't know where, come lately
You are the sun, I am the moon,
You are the words, I am the tune, play me.
Song, she sang to me, song she brang to me,
Words that rang in me, rhyme that sprang from me warmed the night.
And what was right became me.
You are the sun, I am the moon,
You are the words, I am the tune, play me.
She was morning and I was night time.
I one day woke up to find her lyin' beside my bed.
I softly said, "Come take me."
So it was that I came to travel,
Upon a road that was thorned and narrow, another place,
Another grace would save me.
You are the sun, I am the moon,
You are the words, I am the tune, play me.
You are the sun, I am the moon,
You are the words, I am the tune, .....play........ me.

You be you and let me be me
No strings attached emotionally
I wanna get a little crazy
Thats puttin it plain
You got the medicine and I got the pain.
When you just wanna feel good
Like the doctor said
One good dose of loving
Its gonna straighten out your head
(tag):
You got an open invitation
On that you can rely
You got a prepaid reservation
And thats the only way to fly.
Lets make love, the feeling is right
Just passing by like ships in the night
Oughta get a little friendly
Theres no time like now
You bring the attitude and Ill show you how.
Anytime youre ready
Anytime at all
Just come on over
Dont even have to call.

I've been listening to Scala & Kolacny Brothers (http://www.kolacny.com/) a lot recently, I particularly like their versions of Dream on and Smells Like Teen Spirit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ui2a2KTx60s).
However, I've had this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKDzMyzlGxo) stuck in my head for about a month.

My favorite song is あいのうた (love song) by Do As Infinity. I like the mix of the Irish-sounding violin tune with their rock music, and think it must be one of the happiest-sounding songs ever written.

Wilco from Sky Blue Sky, "You Are My Face".
I remember my mother’s
Sister’s husband’s brother
Working in the goldmine full-time
Filling in for sunshine
Filing into tight lines
Of ordinary beehives
The door screams I hate you
Hate you hanging around my blue jeans
Why is there no breeze
No currency of leaves
No current through the water wire
No feelings I can see
I trust no emotion
I believe in locomotion
But I've turned to rust as we've discussed
Though I must have let you down
too many times
In the dirt and the dust
I have no idea how this happens
All of my maps have been overthrown
Happenstance has changed my plans
So many times my heart has been outgrown
Now everybody’s feeling all alone
Can’t tell you who I am
When everybody’s feeling all alone
Can’t tell you who I am
I am looking forward
Toward the shadows tracing bones
Our faces stitched and sewing
Our houses hemmed into homes
Trying to be thankful
Our stories fit into phones
And our voices lift so easily
A gift given accidentally
When we’re not sure
We’re not alone

Cool video. Also cool music. Can't understand a word of it, understandably. Wouldn't happen to know where I can find a translation of the music, eh?

Sorry, I haven't been able to find the lyrics transcribed even to Icelandic, which I can usually decipher well enough when written ("Icelandic is close to Swedish as it was when spoken a thousand years ago..."), but when spoken, not so much. The song has, seemingly, not even even been properly released, so maybe that's why lyrics are so hard to come by.

Well, I found the lyrics and gave it a shot at translating them. It's not all 100% and I guessed at a few meanings from context (doesn't help that some pronouns seem to be implied and my rules for Icelandic verb conjugations are almost non-existent, not to mention cases and idioms...) but here it is:
Sama hvernig fer (Doesn't matter how it went)
stendur eftir staðreyndin (The fact remains)
að ég elska þig (That I love you)
og því fær enginn breytt (And no one may change that)
sama hvernig var (Doesn't matter how it was)
ég gæti gefið annan séns (I can give it another chance)
einu sinni enn (One more time)
Allt fyrir ástina (All for love)
eina sem aldrei nóg er af (the one that is never enough)
mennirnir elska fórna (people love, sacrifice)
kveljast þjást og sakna (torment, suffer and long)
allt fyrir ástina (All for love)
sama hvað lífið gæfi mér (Doesn't matter what life brings any more)
ég segði "Út með hatrið (I said "Out with hatred)
inn með ástina" (In with love")
Sá sem elskar mest (He who loves most)
vonar allt og umber allt (expects everything and tolerates everything)
þó að svikull þú sért (Though you've been deceitful)
ég fyrirgef þér samt (I forgive you and)
allt þitt jafnt verst og best (all your best and worst equally)
ég tekið gæti á herðar mér (I can take on my shoulders)
geri hvað sem er (Do that which is)
Allt fyrir ástina... (All for love)

Probably nothing, but if you ever want to really piss off a fan of Bjork, go around pronouncing it how it's spelt.

But you see, I can't do that. As a Swede I'd have to be lobotomised for it to be credible that I wouldn't know how "Björk" is pronounced.
