Lies, Lies, Lies ('http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/Science/2007/08/07/brilliant_perseid_meteor_shower_expected/4903/')

Yes, a brilliant meteor shower! (lie: it will be invisible, or dark as fuck)

Brilliant Perseid meteor shower expected
WASHINGTON, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. and European astronomers say the annual Perseid meteor shower will reach its maximum intensity early Monday.

Weather conditions permitting, showers of meteors appearing as bright streaks of light in the sky are expected to number as many as 100 an hour, made more visible by a new moon this year, the European Space Agency said.

Last year’s shower was marred by the glare of an 87 percent full moon, making the meteors nearly impossible to see, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said.

Since the moon won't be ruining things this year (more lies), we'll be able to take the kids out to Warrenton and get a good view of the meteor shower (liar).

Are any of you (liars) going to go out and see the meteor shower this year (please lie)?

Man, those truth in advertising laws are a bitch aren't they? Is FAG going to have to start putting (Troll) at the end of every sentence as well?

Alas, I live in the suburbs, I barely see stars anymore, much less meteor showers.:(

More meteors, distracting the eye of the US away from the situation in Iraq. WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE IRAQIS?

(incidentally, that was a JOKE)

It'll totally be like the boy who cried wolf one day.

RODKWL will create a thread about a super secret organization that is collecting all NSG members home address and he will give us the exact date and time that we will be plucked from our slumber to be tortured and reprogrammed into Bushbots to be soldiers in the Cheney army, fighting against all things good and pure. We will say he's finally lost what last remains of sanity we thought he could possibly still have and then.....

and yes i want to see the metor shower. can we carpool?

I can guarantee a great meteor-shower viewing session because everything from the ionosphere downwards is cloaked in my shadow.

And I am sitting at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

I'm afraid that the Chuck Norris joke died in mid-2004, shortly after he started being a fundie bellend.

Sorry if you hadn't heard yet.

Congratulations!! They say that admitting that you have a problem is the first step towards recovery.

I wish you every success in overcoming your personal torment!! :p

EDIT: BTW, Warrenton is fairly close to Herndon....perhaps you could pick up Deep Kimchi on your way to see the shower? :p
