My First Thread Steal (TM) :D

I thought I'd create a thread about energy drink. The first energy drink I tried was a Red Bull, but didn't find that it was that particularly effective, and the taste sucked.

I drank a couple Sobe Essential Energy (orange), and the taste is quite good, and though they were not immediately effective, they were quite good for the long run. However, I haven't found them in four packs, and they are somewhat expensive.

I got me a 4 pack of No Fear, and the taste isn't quite as good as the Orange Essential Energy (though still quite good), and they are, in fact, quite power packed. Over 160 milligrams of caffeine per bottle, and 2000 milligrams of Taurine. It is....POWER!

So far, I'd have to say that the No Fear is my favorite.

What about y'all?

Red Bull.

I don't drink it constantly though, I get it maybe once a month.

I hate energy drinks. I used to drink Red Bull but that was because I used to go to a club where they charged 70p for a vodka and red bull :D

My favourite is one marketed mainly in Australia and NZ called V (wiki link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_%28drink%29) - I took and uploaded the pic of the can btw). It is like Red Bull but actually tastes nice and also seems to energise me, placebonic or not.

Though I ordinarily just drink coffee if I feel the need for caffeine, a Red Bull keeps the unpleasant experience of chugging an energy drink as short as possible, and there's really no reason to fix what isn't broken, so why not go with the original.

Given its apparent addictiveness, that stuff would probably put enegry drinks out of business if it were legal. :p

Anyway I'm not a big caffeine fan, either. I've tried Amp, only because it's a sort of condensed Mountain Dew, which I enjoy. :)

It is addictive, yes, but I hear it's similar in that regard to coffee. Stimulants have always intrigued me, but coffee is too weak (for most people) and doesn't work for me, and most others are too strong. Qat is the middle ground, which is why it interests me. Having a clear mind and doing math problems and so on effortlessly seems too cool.

I bet you're better at math after a full night's sleep and a good meal than otherwise, aren't you? Yeah, now extend that farther. You knew what I meant.

red bull works. But I think this new "5hour energy" works the best for me. That stuff can keep me up for as long as I need.
