...in song. Jihad! The Musical is now showing the UK, featuring catchy musical numbers such as I Want To Be Like Osama.

Jihad: The Musical follows the story of a young Afghan peasant, Sayid, who dreams of making it as a flower farmer selling poppies to the West.

When he is recruited into a jihadi cell seeking to blow up Western targets, Sayid has to decide whose side he's on.

In the US this would be blacklisted as "racist and intolerant towards other religions" I salute the UK for doing this.

That's....odd.

I suppose if it turns out to be quite funny, it could do ok, but it really is a bit tasteless. But, I wouldn't say it's stirring religious hatred, I would hope it tries to highlight the mindless insanity of the terrorists. Certainly should be allowed to go ahead, if only for a few performances, I wouldn't expect it to be a long-running thing.

I like the sound of this. Take the sting out of Al Qaeda by making them a comedy item

Well, there's already a petition against it in the UK, which is what I think would happen in the US.

But go ahead and be paranoid.

First, Saddam (http://www.gophergas.com/funstuff/realsaddam.htm), now AQ. :)

Well, this could be done in a funny, non-racist, way, but I have some doubts about that...

Fuckin' quality. Nothing like humour to elicit a stroppy response from religious nutjobs.

And then be able to point to that stroppy response to say everyone associated with that religion act and think all the same.

To my knowledge, I don't think I ever have done as much, and certainly would not do so now.

If it makes you happy to believe as much though, feel free.
