The 1970s and 1980s. It had Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the Life of Brian, the Meaning of Life, Alien, Ghostbusters, Star Wars... What more could you possibly want?

The age before thatre deteriorated into cheap thrillers and badly done stirical comedies. (nothing against satire, of course)
