That thing says "thank goodness for abortions" to me...

Also, war + violence < suicide. The person most likely to deliberately kill you is yourself :p

That is really surprising. I would have expected suicides to be around half what it is and war to be around what suicides are, probably.

Anyway, thanks for the link. This is really cool. I'm going to have to find some way to make use of it for something. =p

Did I read that right? 26 million abortions just this year? Wow.

This is prolly just estimates. Besides, this nonsense was posted just a few days ago. Reposting it won't make me consider it fact.

Exactly. Population growth of 45 million is already mad, so 72 million...

What is the relevance of US illegal immigration and US divorces that they need to be placed so prominently - or is this 'world' in the sense of world series?

It was developed by an American?

The US is a special country?

I can't believe that way more bicycles have been made this year than cars. That's probably false.

Why not? The population is growing, there are more kids, people buy their kids bikes. Generally the families I know are more likely to have multiple bikes than multiple cars

Most likely to make a point to Americans, about the changing nature of their society.

Ummm. Many 3rd world countries use bicycles for transportation because they cannot afford cars?

The world temperature is a lot higher than the clock claims (14.6 degrees Celsius now). The average temperature is about 22 degrees.

Neat! :)

I like "Now" the best - really makes the point about how huge the world population is, as well as its production capacity. Shame about the abortions and the deforestation though - those are some unhappy numbers. :(

That's true. I used to bike everywhere, and I'm no third-worlder, nor have I seen that many bikes when I've been to the third world. More mo-peds and old cars, if I had to say so. At least in the urban third-world.

Why the abortion numbers? Sure the deforestation numbers are bad, but the abortion numbers are fine with me. What should really make people feel bad are the abortions denied to women who need them for "religious" reasons.
