I was wondering if anyone knows where the best places to get US economic data are. I'm particularly interested in quarterly US CPI figures and quarterly figures for US 90 day commerical bill rates. I probably want about 40 years of data. Any suggestions?

You might try the Department of Labor's website (http://www.dol.gov/).

I use nasdaq.com and Yahoo! Finance to see the summaries of the releases, and then I follow the links to the government pages to read the data more closely.

Try the BLS.

The Department of Propaganda may work as well... Oh, wait, you wanted a serious answer.

Don't mind me. :p

Perhaps statistical abstracts http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/

For earlier years, there is a link at the top of the page for "earlier
editions."
