I used a script to create a list of all regions in the game, then another script to download and store all regional (XML) pages. The rest is straightforward data processing on files.

I looked at the oldest post per region, not the oldest of just the last post per regio. That would be a different list.

Note the first post in this thread starts off saying Taggart has a 1600 day old message, that's the context for me making this list.

Would it be possible for you to make the aforementioned "different" list? I realise it's not what the OP was talking about, but I personally feel it would more accurately represent the truly old, dead regions.

Well, some old regions may not have any RMB messages at all. They won't show up on this list, as measuring the regional age is a problem. But, here goes: The Top 25 list of oldest 'last' messages in regions, counting in days:
