That's true. I haven't.
I guess that I should have said "Saddest Dinosaur Comic Ever". About 85% of A Softer World is more depressing than that comic, as well.

Though the episode with Fry's dog was certainly up there, I believe you'll find the saddest "cartoon" ever made is Grave of the Fireflies.

Someone said that was worse than the last episode of Berserk. If so I fear I may implode watching it.

If I didn't enjoy harm happening to Zach Braff or whats her face that plays the blonde doctor, I may have to agree with you.

The much better part of that particular episode is when Bender throws the dog into a pit of lava because he's jealous of Fry's potential friendship with Seymour, expecting Fry to be his best friend again because, "Now you've got no one left but me! Ha ha!"
And yes, Grave of the Fireflies was a horribly sad and depressing movie, but I wouldn't really call it a cartoon. Cartoon implies a silly TV show. Grave of the Fireflies is very much not silly.

I've been reading some… I don't know. To me it seems freakier than sad. Too much of a violent-abuse type sad, not an inner-suffering sad. I guess our favourite sadnesses depend on our own insecurities. :D

Really? I thought it was supposed to look dodgy like that, and the simple and silly-sounding language was a joke at the expense of stereotypical "message" pieces.

While I agree that the captions might not be first class ;), you realize that dinosaur comics (http://www.qwantz.com/) all look like that? That's kind of the whole point about them. Only captions change.

Isn't it just? I heartily approve of xkcd.
This one (http://xkcd.com/162/) has been on my desktop background for weeks; it's not sad, but it's brilliant if you're only ever the slightest bit inclined towards maths/physics geekdom. Hach.

The only "sad" thing about those Nana comics is that somebody is depraved enough to make them.

I'm suprised no one has thrown up a comic involving a Fifty Hitler Post.
