Now. I have been toying with the notion of creating a myspace page just for the hell of it. (It looks mildly interesting, and it will give me something to do for a few hours.) But, I have no idea how to work the HTML stuff for the background and the link coding and stuff. Either this is genuinly complicated or I am a dumbass. I haven't decided which yet. Please help. :)

I'd really like the MySpace source. Then, every forum could have your own myspace, or, if you don't like having a wiki, you can make your "myspace" a wiki.

Basically make myspace opensource. Then I'd make my "myspace" into an encyclopedia.

MySpace is a waste of space. There are far better social networks, though I would never use any of them as they are all equally as gay as the last.

well, if you just want to customize your page you can use some sort of layout generator, like from http://www.doobix.com/myspace/generators/
any tricky stuff beyond that you'll just need to learn some html - there are tutorials all over the internet for that.

Myspace is fun if your friends use it. Fuck slightly sneery, thoroughly self-righteous people who mock it; make your profile private, and just use it to interact with friends, or anybody who looks especially good on your profile.:)

Facebook, without applications, is cleaner than Myspace, and less demonic (read: emo).
