Adaptated by William Monahan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Monahan) (who?), and set to be directed by Ridley Scott.

Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_Meridian)

I want to slip into a coma until 2009...

Then you would miss the stuff released at the end of this year and start of the next like The Golden Compass and Codename Cloverfield.

You miss the leak? Official name is "Monstrous".

There is no official title until it is official. Wikipedia still defaults to Cloverfield.

But I want a copy of that teaser poster.

Saw a trailer for Cloverfield when I saw Transformers. Looked INSANE. Can't wait for it.

And there was a sort-of zombie/emotionlessdrone flick that looked alright, too. Can't remember the name, though.

"I Am Legend"?

I wanna see how The Dark is Rising (http://imdb.com/title/tt0484562/) will turn out. I loved the series.

"I Am Legend" is going to make me cry, but I'm going to see it anyway. Honestly, the story is a classic of horror fiction, and American fiction in general, imo. However, it looks like they are going for an action movie when, really, the story is a psychological thriller. Quick non-spoiler synopsis, it's a story about the last surviving man on Earth after a zombie plague overtakes the world. It's very much so about his mental state rather than about OMG TEH FAST ZOMBIES ARE RUNNING AT ME SHOTGUNFACE! =\

Though, I think Will Smith is a good actor, so if they keep to the original premise of the story, I think he could pull it off fairly well.

no, cause it doesn't look like it'll suck as badly as TBWP.
But then, what does?

(other than BWP II of course)

But then you'll miss the KnightRider and A-Team movies!

How could you possibly live without seeing those?!

Fact that Ridley Scott's involved in Meridian bodes well. Could be a quite passable adaption. Adaptions being something Hollywood struggles at doing. Let's face it - Hollywood is fucking hopeless at it.

... O.M.F.G!!!

I thougth you were joking about those two...

oh and books adapted to movies generally do suck unless you never read the book.

after all, what company wants to make a 6 hour movie?

Starship Troopers sucked even before I read the book.

And A-team movie? Everyone has to see that just for the campiness.

Ah, but after reading the book, did the movie suck worse or actually got better? ;)

I like both movies sometimes. It depends on if I'm in that "I wanna watch a crappy horror movie" mood I sometimes get. Normally I'll put in some Creepshow or Creepshow 2 and that'll do the trick, but sometimes I want a zombie movie, sometimes I want a Freddy movie, sometimes I feel like watching BWP 1 or 2.
