Well other 'pagan' religions etc were very sexually liberal, even what some would call 'deviant'.
It's the 3 Abrahamic religions that are the basis for extreme 'family' conservativism and the sexual repression which seems to think of the birth canal as a 'one way street'.

I try not to pick on the Christians. Religion is a crock. But better a Jainist fundamentalist than a Christian or Islamic one.
