As for me: I vaguely remember getting a week or two week suspension for being in the big middle of a flamewar or two. And I think I remember pissing off one of the mods (who just happened to be a little hypersensitive. ;) ).

NS still has the current events and social threads, but outside of that, the discussion is really lacking lately. They pretty much consist of a stupid leftist or a stupid rightist and a bunch of people shouting "TROLL!"

IMHO, NS could do with some analysis options. As a nooby, I would have liked an easy way to view the biggest regions, for instance. Being able to order nations by population would show the most dedicated players.

Basically it was a group of 5 or 6 (depending on the week) central characters with a bunch of underlings, whom we sent out to mess with each other. It was like one big chess game...except we elders would sit around drinking wine and conspiring while all the n00bs got killed.

It was fun while it lasted...until the n00bs figured out what we were up to and revolted on us. *heh*

I only ever played tabletop, but my character was a cheerleader who was turned. No one ever took her seriously because she cultivated the sweet, naive, innocent persona...

...until she decided to kick ass and take names on everyone who crossed her when she was a newb. With her Gangrel clanmates, that was literal, and she'd created a few tricks with protean that took them by surprise. With others, it was guile and sneakiness.

By the time the dust settled, she was left with her own little corner of the city, her innocent "who, me?" expression, and several former tormentors on the Prince's "Most likely to be staked for the dawn" list. ;)

I never LARPed, though I startled the SHIT out of my tabletop group one night when I pulled out, in the dimly lit room, a bottle of tomato juice I'd taken the label off and took a slug of it. (We were RPing being in a vampire bar; when the waitress asked for orders, I said "No thanks, I brought my own" and pulled it out of an inner jean jacket pocket.) You'd have thought I'd actually taken a gulp of blood from the looks around the table!

The last things I played desktop were RIFTS and AD&D Dark Sun...but that's been *ages* ago. I don't even computer game much anymore (I'm about to hit the bottom side of 30)...but I bought myself a DS Lite and am loving it. It's great on the Metro on the way to work in the mornings. :)
