Why is it a must see?
it is Laugh Out Loud hilarious, I mean I almost pee'd my pants, and it's non-stop humor and OMG, this thing happens and everyone in the theater was like laughing so hard that we missed the next 3 lines.
Also, it's not stupid funny either, not like American Pie with the bathroom humor and such, it was like..........so funny. I can't describe.

I saw Hairspray on the stage. It was a rather average musical theater production. Lots of 50's style music.
Don't know how the movie follows the stage production. Usually when they try to make a movie out of stage it is a rather poor copy.

Granted I think he'll be great... but to me, John Travolta will always be Vinny Barbarino.

That's true too. I grew up watching reruns of that show. :p He kinda turned his image around with his more recent movies, but he's still mostly Barbarino.

Well, I created a drinking game called "Crooked Nose". You watch an Owen Wilson movie, and every time you see a crooked nose, you take a drink. Miss a drink, take a shot.
Needless to say, you get wasted and fast.

it's totally not a high school movie, it's rated R, so, in my state you have to be over 18 to even get in. Besides, it has lines like
Seth: [referring to Evan's mother] I am truly jealous you got to suck on those tits when you were a baby.
Evan: Yeah, well, at least you got to suck on your dad's dick.
Seth: [shrugs] It's a nice lookin' dick.

McLovin was made of win! He reminded me of every nerdy guy that ever crushed on me in highschool, the chipmunk laugh and the squeaky voice, and the "actually there is a good reason for that" monologues that he goes on way past when anyone was listening to him.

you do realize that you are now spamming my thread since you never answered my original question of what movies you have seen lately and if they were good or if they should probably be avoided?
Fass and I have a dynamic, it's best if people really stay out of it for the most part.
and Fass the meh, is because I totally know I don't have to convince you to watch it and my quote was there for obfuscation and not so much to prove any point I had about anything.

you do realize that you are now bumping my thread since you never answered my original question of what movies you have seen lately and if they were good or if they should probably be avoided?
Corrected. There was this, though:
The last movie I saw in a cinema was "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" ... in 2002.
The only reason I didn't walk out was because I was with friends and I didn't want to spoil it for them.
Let's just say, it didn't inspire me with a great enthusiasm ... to ever go to the cinema again.
And no, I don't think I'd like Superbad, to judge by the trailer and the outtakes. At least I'm not totally ignorant of it now. The best bits will turn up on Youtube, so ... *wishes he could say 'meh' with any conviction*
Fass and I have a dynamic, it's best if people really stay out of it for the most part.
I'll bear that in mind in the future.
It bugged me that Fass spent five words being a smartass, and another five stating the obvious, but somehow avoided telling me what "meh" means. Ten words to describe that, and I'd be out of your dynamic, quite satisfied.
and Fass the meh, is because I totally know I don't have to convince you to watch it and my quote was there for obfuscation and not so much to prove any point I had about anything.
