Implanting RFID Chips in HIV Infected People
Absolutely not. RFID tags in humans should be implanted only with the recipients consent and should only be used for legitimately beneficial purposes, medical or other, not surveillance.

And then who will they chip?
So, will other people carry around a chip reading wand?
"Hey, this thing says you're HIV positive..."
I think it's stupid. Who says they'll stop there?
(BTW, I have no problem with an employer chipping employees for their line of work - a job is not a Constitutional right - but I have a problem with the government chipping people, especially against their will).
Didn't they say the reason it spreads so much is because the person spreading it doesn't know they're a carrier? Is everyone going to be tested? Logically faulty from the start.

I can see it being used for people on Parole... granted it should be removed after the parole is up.
What about Sex Offenders? Should they be chipped also (seeing that they already are registered on a web site that has their picture, address and whatnot on it. )

It suggests to me that they'll be testing everyone they can lay their hands on.

What we do to sex offenders in this country ought to be reexamined under cruel and unusual punishment, since they never actually finish their sentences now. If we as a society decide that sex offenders need to be removed from society since they're a constant danger to children, then we need to just fucking do it--up the sentence for child rape to life in prison with no chance for parole. But enough of this "you can only live in designated spots" bullshit. If you've done your sentence, you've paid the debt you owe society and you're supposed to be free and clear. Recently, in Miami, there were 4 parolees living under a goddamn bridge because there was literally nowhere else in the city where they could live and not be in violation of their probation.

We should implant such a device in all US citizens; it should contain various data, including birth-date, fingerprint information, eye color, criminal record, etc. We could use it as an anti-crime tool and to prevent illegal immigration, as well as protecting the healthy from the diseased.

I think that the sentence should give the actual offender one of two choices.
Either a life sentence without parole or the death penalty.

I've been against that Megans Law website because if the person is trying to make an honest attempt to change, having his past mistakes dragged up by others is counter productive.
I mean, if they are going to use the idea of "people should know who's living next to them." then they should include drug offenders, Alcoholics, Theifs, People with Violent histories, etc...
I would rather know if I have a drug pusher/kidnapper living next to me than a sex offender.
