Where would you rather live?

Boston (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston%2C_Lincolnshire), or Philadelphia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_%28village%29%2C_New_York)?

I would rather live in...

Boston.

Boston. The Dresden Dolls are from there, which suggests a healthy and kind of off-kilter entertainment culture.

Boston, licolnshire, because thats the place where my ancestors(those with the last name Pigg) came from. It'd be nice to see where they lived at and what the area is like and such.

Oh, you should have added paris, missouri on there :)

I don't know either town terribly well, but I've always liked Philadelphia. More so than Boston, at least. :) No reason exactly - I've just enjoyed staying there more.

Boston, cause my family lives in the area there, and my cousin goes to college there.

never been to either one in my life and cannot immagine one good reason i would want to. or want to live in or within the surrounding edge communitites, of ANY city.

find me a forested mountain side with lots of little narrow gauge railways and no damd neocons, where i can build my ferrro-cement 'hippie shack' far enough away from everyone else for them not to be bothered by my scrapyard of odd industrial fiddly bits for building little trains and flying saucers with, and my welcoming strainge and unimaginable life forms, and i can tell you with complete sincerity i would rather live there then any city anywhere and certainly any city in turn of the 21st century america.

Boston's hardly a city. At 35,000 people it's a small-medium town.
And also it's not in America...

Tough choice. It's like picking between a blow to the groin with either a hammer or a crow bar.

I'd probably pick Philadelphia so I don't have to deal with Red Sox fans. :)

Boston's that place that went batshit over a few lite-brites IIRC. So it's on my "do not visit" list...and I definitely wouldn't move there!

Other than that, I'm with Cameroi. Only instead of industrial fiddly-bits, it's the never-mowed greenery (which would NOT be just boring grass!) that I don't want to be pestered about. It's bad enough where I am, without making it worse by going into a city.

Both Boston (Bastin) and Philly are fine cities.

So I'm going to base my choice on local cuisine.

And to that end, I have two short words to utter:

cheese steak

Hence, I give the nod to Philadelphia.
