Do not feed the birds

They're more than capable of doing it for themselves.

A seagull has turned shoplifter by wandering into a shop and helping itself to crisps.
The bird walks into the RS McColl newsagents in Aberdeen when the door is open and makes off with spicy Doritos.

This does of course lead to an obvious question; should the owner of the shop insist that the police pursue the gull and ensure that this menace is thrown behind bars, never to steal again?

That's great. :p Reminds me a bit of the birds that were stealing the change out of that vending machine that time.
As for the police, I don't think they'd be successful in catchinf the bird unless it returns - seagulls look pretty alike, I think. ;)

Could be. If that bird figures out how to open the package, they may have a seagull crimewave on their hands! :D

Once outside, the crisps are ripped open and the seagull is joined by other birds.

My mistake. It's late here, and I should be sleeping. :p
Edit: Wow, re-reading the article, I can't really explain how I missed that bit. The mind plays tricks for lack of sleep, I guess.

The birds wanted you to miss it. It's a mind controlling crime wave.
Is this not a hoax? I mean, how much weight can a seagull fly with? We know a group of African swallows can transport coconuts across vast distances, but a single seagull with a packet of Doritos? Seems unlikely...
That, and this is the silly season for news. You know I once won a trophy for scepticism, but I still refuse to believe it.

How heavy do you think a packet of crisps is?
How heavy is a fish? Seagulls can fly with them in their mouths.
Really, now.

A bag of crisps isn't exactly the heaviest thing in the world...

Seagulls don't exactly hunt large mouth bass... but yeah a packet of crisps would be about the same weight.

It's obviously unappealing to them. Do they really kill seagulls or just make them shit uncontrollably?
As for what to do with them, let's hope we don't see a law passed letting people kill them or something. Just cover your goddamn shop.

I heard it works. Haven't seen it in person, though.
