BBC in deep trouble

All television, radio and interactive competitions on the BBC have been suspended after it was announced that at least six more competitions had been rigged by producers.

The deceptions were not with the intention of making money; rather producers, faced with technical failures that meant they couldn't put genuine winners on air, decided to fake the results rather than admit to the problems.

This means that you won't be winning £10,000 tonight by answering the fiendishly difficult question of whether the current President of the United States is a) George Bush b) Dennis Taylor c) King Richard III.

In light of all this, do you still trust the BBC?

Its not just the BBC who are having their knuckles tapped, its every broadcaster who has these type of quiz shows on them...

But even so, I still prefer them and their uninterrupted programs

Pish, why would I trust the news of a country that forced us to pay heavy taxes and then declare war on us not once, but twice!

I only trust Conan's network anyway.

That was hundreds of years ago, I'm pretty sure the same people aren't around anymore.

How is this "deep trouble"?

A lot of game shows have had this problem in the past - people still produce game shows and people still watch game shows.

If the opinion of the Queen mattered in the UK (and I don't know if it does or not), I would think they were in more trouble over editing her to make it look like she was miffed recently.

*cough* umm that was actualy us, we took the blame for that one and put the BBC in the clear.

The incident with the Queen is one of the reasons that this is so serious - two major breaches of trust coming out within a week of each other. The BBC prides itself on its fairness, truthfulness and impartiality; these incidents show that it has been failing to live up to those standards.
