My hair, is just past the tip of my nose. It has finally reached that transition point were I can comb it back and have it stay. It is getting a mulletish in the back, but that seem to be cool in Alberta. When I go back to BC, I should be able to cut it so it looks reasonable without destroying it.

My hair reaches my nosebridge when I comb it down. But normally it stands up a bit, especially when I use hair gel :)

Ah, where are the days that my hair reached my chin so that it could mingle with my beard if I hadn't shaved for 2 days :D

Absolutely none of those options. My hair is less than an inch, but not saved. I have my barber run a number 3 shaver across the whole thing, and get a haircut every month or so. So it ranges from an inch or so to less than an inch.

But...if I had my way, I'd shave the thing. But my family doesn't think it's a good idea to do so.

you should remind them that it makes you immune from hair pulling which in adult life leads to a broken nose (a paranoid fear of mine) and lice :)

If I pull on my hair it comes down to my chest, but it's curly, so it likes to stay up around my shoulders.

The back is short but the bangs reach the bottom of my nose.

The back of my hair is nearing shoulder length.

It's only been four months since I got it all shaved off, so I've got a ways to go before I reach ass-length again. I got my hair cut back in September of 2003 (it was shaved to under an inch), and I didn't get it cut until June of 2006 (once again, shaved to under an inch). That's when it reached the very top of my ass.

So, two years and nine months to reach the butt from the skull. Well, that's two years and five more months to go... Unless, of course, it grows faster now, as it seems to be doing. Perhaps just over two years will do, but who knows? And really, my face and body were made for long hair. If it wasn't meant to be, it wouldn't grow so long, nor would it do so that quickly... And it definitely wouldn't be this thick. And keep in mind that when I was three years old, I could actually walk on my hair with my heels. I only had it that long for around a week, and to be completely honest, I was glad when it got cut... But, I wasn't glad that it was completely shaved off (my dad probably has wet dreams about his hair shaver).

But the best thing about it is that I have natural locks, no styling required. I have a spot on each side of my neck that has a massive amount of hair, and it all grows out over the shoulders and drapes over my chest.

So, in short, my hair is bad-ass when it's long.

The back is short but the bangs reach the bottom of my nose.

That's cool. I used to style it like that.

I can almost pull it past my nose, but I'm growing it out long. My beard too.

I think it was about 3-4 inches until my mom made me get a haircut on Friday, because she said I'd look better...she was wrong. So now it's about half an inch to an inch long.

It's a nice, easy to maintain two-three inches.

I hear you. Right now I have a shoulder length hair I'd loathe to give up, and a receding hairline I probably inherited from one or both of my grandfathers. In the next few years I'll just have to see how much of a mullet I'm prepared to live with before I get the hint that long hair and me just ain't meant to be. :(

About 2-3 inches, if a bit longer at the back, but I'm about to get it cut again. On a scale of one to 'it looks quite nice', I'd say it looks quite nice.

Meh. Currently 4 by 2. It's gone everywhere from bald(self-done) to lower back(almost 3 years, right before the bald). It also stands on its own till about 3-4 inches.

Hard to say, really. When straightened, the front is long enough to fall foppishly into the eyes when dancing, and the back is marginally shorter.

1. When you're in the Army, it's easier to keep clean than more hair.
2. It's cooler (temperature-wise) under a helmet than no hair, or more hair.
3. Never need to comb, brush, etc.
4. If you're living outdoors for extended periods of time, ticks become an issue - with hair this short, it's easy to find and eliminate them.

Now that I'm a civilian, it lets everyone know that I'm from the military (and there are a lot of ex-military here at work, so we have a quick way to spot one another.

It's also still the easiest haircut to maintain. If I had to keep it bald, I would have to shave twice a day.

I have to say that long hair is a lot more work! But it is interesting that I have curls so much. I used to have them when I was a toddler but then I encountered the Scissors and didn't realize they were still with me. :p

My hair is well past my shoulders now. My bangs are only down past my chin more or less, then I have facial hair on my chin.. which I was growing for like a year - but sadly I recently shaved last month as I was looking for housing and thought my shaved face would be better than scragly hair - sadly I don't think it really had any effect... stupid of me, next time I get concerned I might be out of fashion I'm not going to worry about it.

I had my hair past my shoulder in the past it eventually dreaded into one whole bunch of hair like one single natural afro type thing.... but I was drugged and it was cut off by someone .. I still have it though......

But this time I went straight with it and plan on growing it indefinately this time around---- I hope I reach my but this time.. but I'm guessing it'd take a few years.

How long does it take for hair to grow to your but.. I'm guessing I'm down to around under my shoulder blades at the longest extent now so that's probably a 5th or 6th of the way there... by that I'm guessing it takes 3 years.

That's almost exactly like mine was before I had it shaved off in '06. By almost exactly, I mean mine was quite a bit darker (though shinier). Same length, though... At least in the front. Is your hair down below your back there, or just halfway?

If I've just cut it it's 19mm long, which is 3/4" I think. Most of the time it's longer as I just can't be bothered. It's low-maintenance.
I don't often cut it shorter because my hair's fair and fine so it becomes almost invisible and I start looking like a Neo-Nazi. I'm lazy, not threatening :p

It covers most of my forehead, and I got long sideburns.

I'm glad I decided not to cut it short a while back, becuase I quite like it this way.
