We all know how corrupt the media is, and how it spins everything. I stumble across this movie from the mid 90s, called spin. Its a largely unknown movie, but wiki has a small description of it;

Spin is a 1995 documentary film by Brian Springer comprised of raw satellite feeds exposing politician’s pre-speech planning. It covers, not only the United States presidential primaries, 1992 and presidential election, but also the LA riots as well as the Operation Rescue abortion protests.

Here is the link to themovie (http://www.brasscheck.com/videos/spin/spin.html)

Its about an hour long, but its worth the watch.

So what will it take to change the new media around, to where its fair and impartial?

Insularity means(roughly) detached, or secluded. Which if it is unpopular, meaning getting no exposure, then it is secluded from popular media. Perhaps you need to pull the rod out of your ass and quit your "im superior than everyone else". Now, have a nice day/evening.:)

Because succumbing to insularity oneself is not exactly a clever solution when one deems such a phenomenon problematic. It is, rather, compounding.

Insularity means(roughly) detached, or secluded.

Not really. In this usage it's closer in meaning to "provincial", meaning "of local or restricted interests or outlook". Your video seems not to be about media in general as one might have been fooled by the beginnings of the OP to believe - it seems to in fact be solely centred on a small subgroup of media in the USA. Hence my very credible doubts that one hour devoted to it would be "worth it" to me.

Which if it is unpopular, meaning getting no exposure, then it is secluded from popular media.

My advice about those classes still stands.

Perhaps you need to pull the rod out of your ass

Masturbation is primarily a solo sport, kids. Fass doesn't need help stroking himself. The best thing is to move on and actually discuss the topic. Fass will do what Fass does...otherwise we all run the risk of not knowing who he is and what he hates and that would kill him from the inside. Everyone's got their insecurities...why else would someone go around stating each threads irrelevance to them when everyone else just ignores threads that aren't relevant to them? How many of you have posted in the 'het Neterlands topic' (or whatever) complaining that it's just about the Netherlands? Leave Fass to his insecurities and move on to the topic.

The film actually is pretty damn interesting. I watched about a year ago and now a professor friend of mine uses it in a class about the 20th century and the media in the US. Regardless of your opinion of the US, it covers how consent, information, and opinion is shaped and provides an understanding into how 'the masses' are moved in the directions that we are, which has a global affect whether it's wanted or not (more often than not, the latter).

It does also make me want a satellite dish thingy to pick all that stuff up.

I havn't watched much in this video, but I havn't thus far seen anything to unusual or objectionable, just political advisers giving advice to the guest on the show to try and make look better in debate. I have never been coy about deriving a sort of enjoyment at being given attention - second considerations, even! - by people who claim that they don't want to give it to me, or that somehow I should be denied it. Trolling would be if I sought it out with comments meant to provoke it. As it happens, I don't have to and never have. These oh, so faux-reticent people supply it willingly without any need for trickery or trolling on my part, so it comes all by itself at times. It's not my responsibility that they react as they do, nor do I have any intent of changing the way I post because of it or pretend that I don't find their reactions hilarious, because I do. Your post is thusly classified as spam, as it is not adding any content to the question posted in the OP.

The OP depends on me watching an hour-long video. It is indeed pertinent to be asking for more clarification as to why it is "worth it", because that is quite an investment of time.
