Hillary and Edwards Make Plans

Remote Observer

They think the other candidates should go away.

Hmm. Why not let the primary voters decide? Are primaries so wrong?

If you get a chance, find the video. It makes her "thanks" to Obama seem really fake.

I think that she and Edwards are probably planning a joint run - wipe out the other candidates, and then one of them will be Vice President on the ticket.

People make plans and God laughs, isn't that the expression? ;)

Me, I laugh at Hillary's funny accent changes. And Edwards's perpetually picture-perfect 'do. :p

Are you sure it's the lesser?

NewsMax is a self-proclaimed conservative outlet that is quickly developing a reputation for fabricated news, and I can't be bothered to hunt down mysterious videos that Remote Observer wants to talk about.

Source up (with something remotely believable) or shut up.

You have been pwned. No, I have been gratified.

Maybe people would take you more at face value if you'd learn to open with the good source rather than your favorite spin zone?

EDIT: Since you've apparently seen it, would it trouble you much to post the video?

It goes:

"Hey money! Did you drop that?"
"Yeah, yeah I did drop that."

When the "spin zone" is running an AP wire story...

I guess the AP is a right-wing firehose of news to you...

When the "spin zone" is running an AP wire story. They claimed it was an AP story without citing the AP-source location, which is traditionally done when reprinting the AP.

And frankly, I just don't trust them that far.

The point is, the story is obviously valid and now we can all move on to making our informed judgments about it. But it's a lot easier to get to that point if you learn basic standards of credibility.

"We've got to talk because they, they are, just being trivialized," Clinton said to Edwards.

"They are not serious," Edwards responded.

"No," Clinton said in agreement. "You know, I think there was an effort by our campaigns to do that. We got somehow, you know, detoured. But we've got to get back to that . . ."

Due to organ music and announcements that were being made in the background, the entirety of the conversation is not audible.

ABC News has asked both campaigns what the two candidates have agreed to work on together and will update this post with their responses.Decent reporting. (http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2007/07/caught-on-tape-.html)

And this is why we like real reporters.

Is it obvious that Clinton and Edwards are talking about eliminating other candidates... from anything? No.

For my part, I'll wait for more information.

Why don't you listen to the video. Oh, I guess a "left" reporter has to spoon-feed you what to think.

It's quite apparent that they are talking about exactly that.

I can't stand Edwards, faux populist that he is.
Remote Observer
13-07-2007, 20:00
Why?

It's been anathema for any politician (who expects to be elected) to be from the real Left, or to mention things like "class" outside of the context of "racism".

We really have one party, that constantly pretends to be left or right.

Both parties have major ideas about controlling individual rights.

One wants to shut you up, make you go to church, and stop getting abortions.

The other wants to shut you up, give your kids to Hillary, and stop owning guns.

Why don't you listen to the video.I did. Apparently your ability to sift through background noise is better than both mine (I couldn't hear a damn thing) and that of ABC News.

It's quite apparent that they are talking about exactly that.Nothing is "quite apparent."

I agree that it seems they've decided to "team up" somehow, but there's nothing necessarily suspicious about that. Maybe they want to push themselves out as front-runners by collaborating... fine, so long as they're not actually trying to "limit" other people from participating. Pushing yourselves out front to make others seem irrelevant, so that debate hosts don't care about inviting them... that's one thing. Accusations that they plan to "conspire" to have other candidates kept out of the debates is another thing entirely.

Nothing about that video or the various transcripts floating around (among which there is apparently some disagreement as to the actual dialogue) confirms anything remotely unethical, as far as I can tell.

But again, I'm suspending judgment in hopes for more information.

I'm not listening for what anyone tells me to listen for, I'm just listening. And I hear them talking about working together, but I don't hear them talking about cutting anyone else out.

ABC got more about that conversation than I did. Damned announcer drowned most of it out. I did catch the word Trivialized, but that's about it.

If they were conspiring at something don't you think Obama who walked up to them or perhaps that guy standing with them might comment?

Looks like more RO paranoia to me.

Yes, but you left, to get away from relatively conservative people (unless you're from Northern Virginia).Well, this is stupid. Now you're going to fabricate my life story to fit your judgment that the only reason I disagree with you is that I'm liberal--which I'm not.

Hillary Clinton is far too conservative for my taste.
