I'd be rather amused if this counted as trolling :p

Goats really are capable of that kind of thing, though. It was pretty believeable. :p

Yeh but you still believed that specific story actually happened without any link to a real news source.

Besides, the story mentions a TRIANGULAR roof. Goats have hooves - how could he jump across and not start slipping off?

They've got killer traction with those hooves. :p

Never heard the phrase "sure footed as a mountain goat"?

Goats are specified to mountaineous and rocky regions. They are extremely well adept at such leaps without slipping, and are very sure footed. As such, it is not extreme, or even implausible, to think that a goat would be able to do that, really. They are remarkably agile, strong, and capable.

You're talking about mountains though. Roofs are slippy.

Not done much hiking have we?

Nice one though, it did cross my mind that it was dodgy after a few people asked for links and none was given but I figured no one would go to that much effort for a joke. I must stop judging people by my own low standards.

I'd have to agree, a goat could very well find footing in a rooftop. Now, the question of wieght. He could've just easily ruined some unexpecting familiy's dinner.

They're not heavy, really. Lighter than the guy on the roof. :p

So are wet rocks.

Infact, so are rocks in general. It's very difficult to get a decent grip on them, dry or wet.

Go climbing on dry gritstone then say that again :p

I can't believe we're discussing the theoretical possibility of goats saving humans, what a forum...

Meh, that's only one type of rock.

And yes, it is quite funny.

We don't need two threads, by the same poster, on the same subject.
