The Cuban one that is, against gangster like anti-Castro people from around the region, most trained by the CIA or have links to it. How do you see this war against terrorism progressing?

I can't think of a worse form of terrorism than complete dictatorship, can you? ;)
As for Castro, I think we gave up trying to kill him in the 60s. Given that they were happy to aim nukes our way, I can't say I really blame Kennedy and others who thought assassination might be prudent. As a rule, I'm firmly against it, though.

Well, I think the USA are probably not still trying to overthrow/kill him, but the trade embargo it still upholds is just the USA being unnecessarily stubborn.

Except complete dictatorships that the United States crows about as valued allies in the "War on Terror," like Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Castro asked the Soviet Union for military backup in the aftermath of the Bay of Pigs. It was the Kremlin that decided it was a brilliant idea to put the nuclear missiles on Cuba and start the Crisis.

The United States is not being unnecessarily stubborn, we are trying to make the communist government step down and let democracy in. The embargo was put into place to help bring down the communist governments power as effectively as possible.

And 40 years later, it's as successful as ever!

*Years later*
Any day now...
It's just to appease the Voting Cubans in Flordia now.
And because the rich are STILL pissed that Castro took all their Cuban assets.

Victory in this struggle will require more patience, more courage and more sacrifice.

Yeah, Castro was Bobby Kennedy's personal target back in the day. We stopped seriously trying to kill him after he ditched his AG spot.

Realpolitik does occasionally have an effect on this current administration in extreme instances. In these cases it is a.) Nuclear weapons and b.) Oil.
