No, not the former Vice-president. His son.

100 mph in a Toyota Prius! Impressive! And environmentally friendly. :D

I feel sorry for the kid, but I mean really, you got to learn to fly casual when you've got illegal substances on board.

I wonder how long it took him to get up to that cause it takes 12 seconds to go from 0 to 60 in a Pious. He must have really been committed.

It isn't the first time Gore's kid has been "busted" with a bunch of drugs in his possession. Minor embarassment for the Gores, I guess. :p

Well, let's look at history. When the kid's 40, he'll repent, be born again, become a governor, and then have another relative steal an election for him. So THAT's Al Gore Jr.'s Plan For Revenge -- hmmm...seems a bit convoluted and unnecessarily symmetrical, but what the hell.

Sometimes you just gotta go with what works.

Actually it would be symmetrical if the kid were to grow up to have no personality then go on to become a Sentator, narrowly losing a Presidential election and then having a hissy fit about it. After that he'd go on to spread FUD and junk science.

THAT would be symmetry :)

They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall

Whoa...

...I'm going to go out on a limb and say he was on Adderall when he was stopped. :p

Then again, the mugshot suggests Valium.

Or it could simply be genetic. :p

What is it with the Gore family and drugs?

100 mph in a Toyota Prius! Impressive!

What's impressive about driving at 160 km/h? My old VW Polo can go faster than that - and usually, when I drive at "just" 150 km/h in the motorway's fast lane (speed limit 130 km/h) I get some smart ass behind me, driving his Alfa Romeo like crazy, tooting horns and flashing headlights because I'm driving too slow.

I think the Prius is electric, or hybrid-electric. Not exactly built for speed. ;) Though 100 is probably slow for night traffic on the 5. :p

Yeah - that glazed-over look probably does run in the family, judging by Big Al. :p

Impressive? Nothing. Any 12 year old idiot can press down the right hand pedal long enough to reach that speed (see story about 60 burglary escapee kid in Austrailia). Highly illegal though, in the area of the USA he was in.

The top speed limit on freeways in town areas is 65mph, out on the "open-road," like in areas past the cities, the speed limit goes up to 70 mph.

Even without the drugs he was destined for shiny bracelets when stopped, as most area police departments arrest for 30+ over the limit and charge with "Driving to Endanger" or "Reckless Driving".

Problem is, this isn't Gore III's first time doing this. His driving privledges should already be revoked, and he should be being driven about by some of his daddy's goons. Add 400-500 pounds of body guards and that prius prolly couldn't go that fast... ;)
