Independence, under law.

This is the verse of America, The Beautiful that should be sung most often. Especially the last three lines.
Happy Independence Day, USA!
Oh beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern, impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine ev’ry flaw;
Confirm thy soul in self-control
Thy liberty in law...

Go America! Yay! Even the rain didn't stop me from watching the fireworks. It was nice too being able to see some of the Macy's fireworks from the Bronx. Queens was lighting them off too, I had like 15 shows to watch, it was great.

Neat. :)
We only ever sang the first verse or two in school, if I can remember that far back - the lyrics are a bit difficult for kindergardeners. :p

It figures that NYC is a great place to catch fireworks.
I was just wondering why this verse of the song gets overlooked, especially the last three lines.
