Forfilled Arkney, you've managed to post randomness in virtually every forum except the ones where it actually belongs. It's obvious you want to participate, but you're JUST NOT GETTING IT. We do things a certain way here, and if you can't get the hang of it pretty soon, your posting privileges will be removed.

Read the Sticky threads at the top of each forum. Those are the ones labeled "Sticky:", followed by a thread name. Don't post in a forum unless the sticky threads say it belongs there. Don't post in NationStates, International Incidents, or United Nations at all until you grasp the concept of roleplaying.

That is all.

East Timor is a tad mountainous to be going anywhere soon. My money's on Tuvalu or parts of Kiribati.

I'm kind of disappointed that all these islands are being evacuated because of rising sea levels. I was kind of hoping they'd last until a tsunami comes along. Those are always such fun. Like surfing in flotsam. :)

Long Island. Which is why I'm getting the hell off of it.

Well... it's not Pacific... but whatever... I'm gone...

Tuvalu will go next, it has the lowest elevation. The government's planning the evacuation in advance.

Nauru, however, should go. It's a pathetic country really. They tore up all available farmland to mine phosphates, thus becoming dependant on Australia for food. Better yet, they waste the phosphate money in every possible way overseas.

Sadly, Nauru has a high central plateau, so their demise will be long in the coming.

How about the Maledives? Okay, they're not in the pacific, but they sure are threatened by rising sea levels...

I hope I can still go scuba diving there before it's too late :(

Well, Hawaii is actually increasing in size each year, so maybe we can share the wealth if any of them are going to go under. :p

As for the poll options - no clue. Tahiti is mountainous, so not likely. Whichever one's an atoll, that's my vote. Atolls can go under pretty easily.

(Voted Tuvalu - I read about it sinking once)

It's "Polynesia", not "Poleneysia". And French Polynesia isn't an island; it's heaps of island. Likewise Tuvalu, and all the others on that list except Nauru.

The highest point above sea level in Tuvalu is 4 metres, so most likely that'll be the first to go. :(

Flooding in Tuvalu has already begun: 1 (http://www.csa.com/discoveryguides/refugee/images/flood.jpg); 2 (http://www.globalexchange.org/images/tuvalu.jpg); 3 (http://www.worldviewofglobalwarming.org/images/TuvaluTideHouseT57.jpg); 4 (http://www.terrapsych.com/risingtide.jpg).

It's always the atolls that are worst affected. :(

Actually, in that case they just stole the letters. Australia was originally in Central Europe, but the terrorists ran off with the second letter a and the l. They then attached them to the start of Bania.

It took months for the confusion to die down.
