Tribute to Bill Cosby

Following Junii's opinion in the Moderation thread that perhaps this forum is getting a bit too serious, I thought I'd share a find of mine with you all. I was surfing youtube last night, and I found some of Bill Cosby's stuff.

Bill Cosby on Noah's Ark. (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zyc1315KawQ)

Bill Cosby on Go Karts (http://youtube.com/watch?v=6nyRqn_OuSE)

Bill Cosby on Natural Child Birth Part I (http://youtube.com/watch?v=xFMVeZyhagI)

Bill Cosby on Natural Child Birth Part II (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_w-AG_yF1Uw&mode=related&search=)

Bill Cosby on Dentists (http://youtube.com/watch?v=XBqY6cJD3CE)

Bill Cosby Graduation Speech Part I (http://youtube.com/watch?v=DW1KjlX5a2Y)

Bill Cosby Graduation Speech Part II (http://youtube.com/watch?v=85c1cSPP9Zs)

Bill Cosby on Parenting Part I (http://youtube.com/watch?v=DjokTfY7LO4)

Bill Cosby on Parenting Part II (http://youtube.com/watch?v=ErcGpnnA7y4)

Bill Cosby on Parenting Part II (http://youtube.com/watch?v=sGq_81Sld4Y)

Noah's Ark, Go Karts, Dentists, and Natural Child Birth are from his standup. The Graduation Speech is from an actual college graduation speech, but is still as funny as hell. Bill Cosby on Parenting is from a speech he gave, and isn't funny...yet is worth watching.

In my opinion, Bill Cosby is one of the best entertainers of our time. I would say "The best African American entertainer," yet this really wouldn't give him the credit he deserves. He is not in my opinion the best of a single group. He is one of the best...period.

And it really is a sad thing that is he so old...however, I honestly think that his legacy, his comedy, etc. will live on for a long, long time.

I hope you enjoy all of the clips, and by all means, feel free to add your own.

"Hey Noah, can you get that thing out of my driveway?"

I always thought he was pretty funny and I used to own some of his standup videos/tapes.

Bill Cosby will never die.

Eddy Murphy has some funny stand up too. When he isn't talking about his personal experiences and life though he falls into the pitfalls of standard black comedy though.

No. He is getting old, though.

Has Bill Cosby died?

God, I hope not. It's my greatest wish in life to graduate from college and have him speak. He tends to piss some people off.

Eddy Murphy is ok, but he is nowhere near Mr. Cosby. Mr. Cosby is screamingly hilarious without being provocative. That just isn't something you see in a whole hell of a lot of comedians today.

I'd personally prefer George Carlin speaking at my graduation.

Heh. Considering his opinion on higher education, that'd be a speech to remember. :)

I'd personally prefer George Carlin speaking at my graduation.

"And now, without further ado, I introduce this lousy bunch of motherfucking cocksuckers."

That'll go down well. But seriously, he's one of the funniest people alive. And he's got a good pancake quote.

Delirious was HILARIOUS.

*on Poltergeist, imagining himself as the father and his daughter is stuck in the TV, he's talking to the priest*

Priest: Mr.Murphy, didn't you try to SAVE your daughter?
Eddie: I went over to the TV, flipped the channel, nothing happened, I got the fuck out.

I'd personally prefer George Carlin speaking at my graduation.

Or Chris Rock. Or Jon Stewart. Or any of a dozen other comics who are more socially aware than Mr. Cosby. Can you imagine a graduation speech by Sara Silverman? Holy shit that would rock.

It's really a shame Bill Hicks died all those years ago. He'd put all these folks to shame.

funnier than carrot top.

The funniest Carrot Top has ever been is in my classes when I tell them he has a Business degree from the very college they're attending. I swear, I think some students try to apply to other schools from their laptops.

George Carlin is my muse. He is confirmation to me that one can function reasonably well in the world despite madness.

In fact, sometimes it helps. :)
