The price of the milk has gone up.

Every now and then I stop to reflect on the world, and how it has changed. From Communism, to Democracy. From Iraq, to the newly liberated Iraq. Things change all the time, and it mostly makes me sad.
I feel that milk, which there is a never ending supply of, is priced too high. In the old days it was cheap and it was delivered to you. Now a day it's required that if you want milk, you must drive to the store. To drive, you need a car ($18,000), and to drive a car, you need gas ($50 weekly), plus the cost of insurance. And then you need to keep it refrigerated, so you have to buy a fridge ($1,000), and you must have electricity.
So, to buy one gallon of milk, it costs $20,000+.
Milk is to blame for global warming, and poverty.
Ban milk, or buy a cow?

It costs more to put the hormones in the cow, therefore the price of milk is directly affected
You also might have a less expensive way about it if you lived next to market and drank the milk on the way home. Aha.
But we might just want to ban milk.

Good sir, logical thinking is not allowed in my threads.
But we might just want to ban milk.

:( Higher milk prices = higher CHEESE prices.
Higher cheese prices = higher pizza prices.
Higher milk prices = higher ice cream prices.
What ever will a kitty do if she can't afford milk?! :(
Fortunately (?!) McDonald's burgers should not rise in price as they don't use real cheese, real beef..... (j/k).

Annnnnnd, how do we grow that food for free if the farmer must pay for the land, pay for the grain, pay for the animals, pay for the water, pay for the buildings, pay for the tractors, pay for the gas, pay for the vet, pay for the supplements, pay for the labor......
Oh, right. Fuck the farmers for doing all the work and expecting to be able to eat at the end of the day.
D'ya think the farmer might say "fuck you" to that idea?

This Kat can, but needs to take lactase with it.

As far as I can remember, most of the people in the world cannot drink cow milk either, for the same reason as for the cat. People of European descent, and some other groups here and there, are, however, able to metabolize lactose (milk sugar).

Hmm, still 66p for two Imperial pints here (1136ml), that's 58p/litre when bought in that quantity. (I actually think it used to be 69p/2 pints, so it might have gone down.)
Diesel had gone down to 94p/litre when I filled up the other day, I think, so milk is cheaper here :D

The Lactaid brand makes specifically lactose free milk... chocolate too...
There are also other brands that have lactose free products, but they're mostly organic I think, and that would make your milk even more expensive

mandatory cow ownership
by neighborhoods not individual families. dairy cows put out far too much milk for one family to deal with.
in the big city....i dunno.... turn parks into pastures?
