all i want to say is that if a doughnut requires frosting and sprinkles, its not a good doughnut. you should shop someplace else for your pastries.

Back when Bess Eaton was still around, they had a donut called "double chocolate old fashioned" which was awesome. It was an old fashioned style chocolate donut that was glazed, then frosted with chocolate frosting. When I was in college, I once ate a half dozen of them (in one sitting) on a bet.
Now, my donut tastes are simpler. I usually go for a chocolate frosted or boston creme donut.
gotta love the mini chocolate donuts.......... and donut holes, so yummy..

Boston Cream is always Boston Cream around here (remember, Dunkin Donuts is a Boston company). I've never heard of the other kind, but I've probably never looked.
I've heard other places call Boston Cream Bavarian Cream, but that seems to be pretty rare.
