Wow no way I would do that. I won't even lay down and play with my domestic cat. Tried it before and she thought it showed weakness I guess, so she jumped on my head. I'd play with wolves before I'd play with lions. And if this guy keeps on, one day one of them WILL smack him down or bite him. It's just inevitable. Just hope the lion doesn't get shot or put down because of this guys persistence in acting like and treating them like they're equals.
