Have you ever had a strange dream? Share it here. I got a good one for you. (WARNING: HIGH UNREALISM FOLLOWS)

I dreamed that my school class was going to someplace in West Virginia on a school field trip. A plantation, called Surrattsville. Ran by a woman named Mary Surratt. Some state troopers come on the bus, and one of them, a huge guy with an ammo belt and a shotgun, says "We're going to go over a few basic rights." Then as he draws the shotgun, he yells "Hands on your head, on the ground, and nobody move!" We all comply. Even the teachers. The next thing I know, we're being lined up for something. The principal says I have a medical excuse, and they let me out. He whispers that "We're breaking out." So, I just run, and run, and run. Down a lot of hills, too. Until I come to a courtyard house. Mary Surratt's house. Except there is a lake instead of a courtyard in the middle. I go around to the front, and I'm almost out, when an inconveniently sharp maid (in old-time dress) asks "What do you think you're doing?". I gave a bad excuse and the maid says into an intercom "We are on high alert." But it's too late. Everybody's just running out, and then we go back home. Top that, man!

I have heaps of really messed up dreams that jump around erratically etc. Unfortunately I don't remember any of them.

None of my dreams ever made any sense.

Usually if I wake up during a dream I'm thinking about going back to sleep, unless I need to be somewhere or do something then I'm thinking about that.

Oh. That stinks.

I write them down right after I have them, this is from the night before last

"Finals, went shopping in the middle of them got blue hair dye, had 2, band was confusing, all the questions were hidden, then the killer one, it was for aviation or something... i had to write a story that was 5 pages long and interesting as well as 5 pages of questions. Wrote about my pool pump from it's perspective "I am Omfgwtfbbqlolz's pool pump..." ended up getting stuck in an old house. Plot in a box: it's flavored rice that increases as time goes on."

And last nights

"Dreamed I was some sort of spy, but we were found out so all our outfits were painted red and we had to sell those red picnic cups as well as spy. So I became obsessed over ellipses. Red and ellipses. Then I had to sneak up in a car to a policeman playing the harmonica, the mail-lady caught me though.
Then it skipped to this really huge junk pile to see someone's father. It kept looping, then it changed to a pile of junk percussive instruments, so it sounded really pretty climbing through with wooden sticks, but then the person I was climbing with, it ended up being their brother at the end, and the person kept saying that their brother was deaf... even though he wasn't."

Actually, I have dreams like this all the time, so they aren't especially strange t me, I have a notebook that I've been writing them in, these are the only two I have on the computer

I always have strange dreams, last night for example. I looked for my friend and found him all the time but I couldn't approach him because when I did something bad always happened which caused people to die. And the dream went on that way until I woke up. Somehow it reminded me of a film.

I also had a Harry Potter dream once. I dreamed that I was Harry and fought Voldemort. We were in a room with a couch, a table and an armchair. Nobody won the battle but we had all these nice chats about TV-shows, politics and everything really. We even paused for tea once. When I woke up I was like "..the fuck?"

When I was a kid I used to dream that I always threw myself in front of trains but I never died.

Once I dreamt that I went swimming in a 50m pool. But when I got there the pool wasn't lying in the ground but it stood up like a house. So I went to the top of it and tried to jump in the water but instead I feel 50m down on the ground. Fortunately I was always able to stop before I actually hit the ground.

Lucky you, i always splat, but its an out of body splat, I watch myself die from a few feet away. Like when I dreamed Circuit City was killing the entire world with poison gas bombs... I watched myself choke and fall... it was disturbing. Either that or there's a conveniently place river or something e.g, I fall in the Thames, but when I surface I get hit by a boat.

My dreams always take place somewhere where I've never been, like a surreal suburban town.

The night before last, I dreamt there were Invasion of the Body Snatchers-esque zombies everywhere. I woke up, and there was this guy standing at the foot of my bed, so I kicked him and he disappeared and I really did wake up.

For like an hour after I thought the dream was real.

Ouch...But it was a great feeling to stop right before you hit the ground. The stomach really gets itself a twist.

Yeah, I don't know whether or not I'd actually want to stop, because you know you'll splat. Sort of, if you wake up, it leaves the dream open ended.

I normally have creepy/weird reams that I can barely remember for more than a few mintues after i wake up.

A few years ago I had a dream where I wasn't wearing trousers in one of my school classes yet nobody noticed. Then I realised that I was dreaming.

The other day I dreamt I was running from the cops and could hear sirens and shouts behind me. Finally they got me cornered and surrounded. They where all middle aged, slightly fat, catching their breath and didn't look very tough.

Then they started singing and tried to act cool gangsta style but the result was more cheesy style. Like the world's worst actors where playing the cops and they where getting a bit old but still tried to be hip. It was so horrible I was laughing when I woke up. I just had to write down the exact lyrics they sang in this dream...

Freeze this is the police.
We come in cars to put you behind bars.
We got guns you've got no chance.
We won't fail to put you in jail.
Your clever plan was a crappy scam.
You thought you left no trace, but we found enough for the case.

I once had a dream in third grade that my 2 teachers locked the class up in a mall and were going to skin us and cut us up with giant 5 feet long scissors. They started grabbing students and throwing them into a room to kill them, all the while laughing at the kids who were screaming in agony. I tried to run away, but a woman was trying to block my path. So, I sprayed her with a juice carton that had acid in it, melting her face...and then I woke up. It was a very creepy dream, and those 2 teachers were actually my favorite ones.

I've had two strange dreams recently, the details of which I remember.

In the first dream, I was summoned to a strange object in the corner of a plaza. Also there were Heroes characters Claire Bennet, Micah Sanders, and D.L. Hawkins (who have regeneration, technopathy, and phasing powers respectively). We each touched the object, and I felt a strange feeling in the back of my neck. I reached there, and discovered a button there. By pressing the button, I became incorporeal and invisible - except to others in my state.

The second dream is the one that has me thinking. It involved a girl in my graduating class who I have a crush on. In the dream, she was seriously ill, with the possibility of death. I remember entering the lunchroom, where the doctors were doing the operation. I sat down next to her, and held her hand - the way you would hold the hand of a loved one.

I'm not sure what to make of that. I believe that dreams can reveal hidden feelings. What does it say about myself if my dreams involving girls I like show me caring for them (as opposed to having sex with them)?

I don't have dreams. I just have nightmares. Basically in every nightmare I have, I die or I'm not in it at all. This one nightmare I had was really disturbing:

"I could see inside a crypt or catacombs of some sort. It was dark, had cobblestone(s?) floors and the walls were made of stone too. It was so foul down there even spiders weren't living in it. lying around was a whole bunch of half rotten dead corpses with grotesque and distorted faces. The most disturbing one was this corpse chained to the wall by it's arms. It was really old, the skin was pretty much gone and all was left was tight brown leather like skin clinging to it's bones. It had no head. Anyways the bottom part of the corpse from the waist down broke off the body started walking away"

After that I woke up and every time I closed my eyes i saw ghouls and the rotten faces of the Corpses.

I'm not sure what to make of that. I believe that dreams can reveal hidden feelings.

If that was true I must have been seriously suicidal as a kid.

My newest dream as follows:

So here I am, renamed Thomas Angelo, and existing in the city of Lost Heaven as a mobster--I played Mafia far too much lately--and I'm running around the city, blocking up lanes of traffic, pulling people out of their cars and taking a sawed off shotgun to their faces. No matter what I do, I can't seem to run out of ammo...I even proved this by taking the shotgun to a gangster's car and unloading about twenty shots into it.

Suddenly, six people show up out of nowhere and start shooting crossbows, regular bows, and slings at me, with one of them wielding a vicious looking sword and an equally vicious looking mace. It took me a moment to realize this was my Wizardry 8 party, and apparently I was their enemy because my playing of Mafia was taking away from my time playing with them.

So they chased me around the city on horses somehow keeping up with my vintage 1938 sports cars regardless of the police, whom both myself and the Wizardry 8 party killed freely. They finally cornered me in China Town and sliced my head off.

...

So then I ran around in circles for a while, collapsed, and awoke to find my cat sitting on me, meowing at my face. :rolleyes:

In one dream there was a movie being made about my life, with Smunkee as my mom and Ifreann as a male relative... and I was stuck in eighth grade again, only in a German class taught by Jerry Springer, who was riding a motorcycle. I've had dreams about characters in my stories :eek:. I;ve had dreams were I was playing a piccolo but once a band teacher came by I would try to hide it or run away. I almost always have nightmares about drowning at a beach or getting hit by lightning. :(

I have this recurring dream about a painting called "The Homecoming". It's a picture of a dying man lying on a bed, and there's this girl with long blond hair laying her head on his chest and grabbing at his arms. I can't really describe it very well, but I can see it very clearly in my mind. I get this idea like I'm supposed to paint it, but I'm not a good painter, so I can't.

EDIT: It's not a real painting, but in my dreams it is.

The really annoying ones are mostly people from Ohio who don't know what side of the interstate they should drive on. Apparently, tourism is where we make a lot of our money. Calm down, I didn't say all of 'em. :) Though they do get spoken of as a group around here. Its just most of them never leave the left side of the interstate. Even if they're going 10mph slower than the speed limit. And they're everywhere. Sometimes I wonder if there's anybody from Ohio actually in Ohio. And I don't know everything thats in NC. Yeah. I've seen the beaches. :) I like them. Be glad you don't see giant groups of people from Ohio everyday. I'm seriously starting think they outnumber us in our own state.................... Ok, maybe not, but they're everywhere. And they usually travel in groups.....

To me, suburban Ohio is kind of like Illinois, except more fond of leaving old buildings intact rather than demolishing them. That's the main difference. I also kinda like Cleveland, though it's not nearly as nice as the t.v. makes it out to be, with that guy with the glasses singing about it and all. :p

I write alot, so, oddly, my dreams are always about my charactors. This is likely because I have very little real world contact.

Well when I was little I often had this dream that dinasours came back to life. Probably because I watched Jurassic Park too much :D

I also remeber once I had a dream there was a huge Tornado tearing through town. I live in Utah so a Tornado is pretty much once in a blue moon. This was before the Salt Lake City Tornado in 1999

I had a strange dream last night. Apparently I was in "The Matrix" and I was leading a group of Zionist towards the mainframe to insert a code that would shut down the simulation, and it was weird. We entered into this old warehouse and I was carrying a shotgun. At every corner there was someone trying to stop us and I would shoot them with the shotgun. We got to the computer that was directly connected to the Matrix's mainframe and one of the guy from the group who was a hacker started to work on the program. All the sudden, actual robots and machine sympathizers came out of no where and started a massive assault on us. My shotgun ran out of ammo and I resorted to Kung Fu and an electronic gun that would shoot out lightings and short circuited the robots.

Then I woke up. This dream was strange because in Matrix Online, I'm on the machine side! lol. :p

No I didn't. I've never been to Michigan. I have been to Ohio though for field trips. Ohio may be one of my least favorite states, but I don't think all of its bad. I got some family there. (they're originally from here though) And how would we be the midwest? Aren't we a little too far east?
